KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, JANUARY 26, 2021

Lots of excitement today in Kamloops as we combined a regular sale and a special bred cow and heifer sale. Buying support today was keen and strong start to finish. From Abbotsford The River Ranch Cattle Co had 493 lb h/c top 190.00. Dan & Marilyn Moss from Birch Island had 660 lb hfrs top 190.00, their  740 lb blk Angus hfrs hit 171.00. Rocky Edwards from Lumby, set the price level today with 764 lb Angus x strs topping 191.00, their 600 lb strs notched 212.00. Schilling Farms from Darfield, were here with one incredible liner load of strs and hfrs. 15 hd of their 757 lb blk Angus strs topped 186.00, their 725 lb strs hit 194.00. 18 hd of their fancy 725 lb Angus x quality replacement hfrs notched 179.50 and their 630 lb h/c set our record at 192.50. Fred & Maureen Ziemer from Lumby, had 758 lb strs top 183.00. Kevin & Kathleen Gerwatoski from Merritt, had 663 lb hfrs top 190.00, their 566 lb hfrs notched 198.00 and their 451 lb h/c reached 219.00. The 20X Ranch today saw his 890 lb Red Angus x strs top 166.50 and 860 lb strs at 170.00. They filled the ring with 8 butcher cows weighing 1322 lb that traded to 78.50. The Turner Ranch was in with 1466 lb powerful cows that traded to 79.50. Oleksandr Lytvynenko had 700 lb Angus strs hit 194.00, the 730 lb hfrs reached 175.25. Ed Ripley saw his 575 lb hfrs reach 194.00. James Hewer sold his 2115 lb butcher bull to 81.75. Brian Foley and Louise Demarni’s 1542 lb butcher cows reached 80.25. Today we had a powerful offering of quality bred hfrs and bred cows. Finlay Farms showcased their beautiful bred hfrs, the blk baldy hfrs topped 2450.00, the fancy Hereford bred hfrs reached 2350.00, the 1172 lb red baldy bred hfrs hit 2500.00 and the red Angus bred hfrs topped 2575.00. Gwenlinn Farms had young March calving blk Angus bred cows trade to 2100.00. Don Hanna also had young blk Angus bred cows top 2000.00. Ingram Creek Ranch brought bred blk Angus cows that sold to 2375.00. Aberdeen Farms from Coldstream with some excellent young blk Angus cows bred blk Simm traded to 2000.00. Well it was quite a day. Everyone enjoyed the sale. An excellent demand for everything today. Feeders were high, butcher cows and bulls a bit higher as well and a very good demand for all our bred cows and bred hfrs.
