Market Report

Kamloops Sale - Friday, Nov 27, 2020

We saw excellent interest at the Bred Cow & Heifer sale on Friday! We had a solid crowd, who all respected and kept to the Covid 19 guidelines, and we also had 150 people watching online at our Next Lot online bidding site. The leaders of the industry were Javier & Claudia Hernandez, from Barriere, as they saw their 1258 lb, powerful, Blk Angus bred hfrs top 2,700.00. Right on their heals was Holly Campbell of the Buse Creek Ranch, with Red Angus x hfrs that topped 2,475.00. Pete & June Puhallo were also in with a top pen of Blk Angus hfrs, at 1160 lb, that traded to 2,450.00. Steven MacDougall brought Red Angus / Gelbvieh x hfrs that raced right up to 2,350.00. There Hereford Herd Dispersal sale for Sunnybrae Farms, Neil Turner, was excellent. His top quality, young Hereford purebred cows topped 3,200.00, with buyer interest from Alberta and throughout BC. The Nakiska Ranch, from Clearwater, had young Red Baldie cows trade to 2,125.00. A huge thank you to everyone who helped us market these powerful bred cows & heifers in these difficult Covid times. This was one top sale with solid prices and interest!
