Kamloops Sale - Tuesday, Nov 10, 2020
Today we saw huge receipts in Kamloops as we rolled past 1,680 hd of cattle. Calves made up over 900 hd and we saw 600 yearlings hit the market. All classes of feeder calves & yearlings were stronger today. Coming out of the Perry Ranch Feedlot, we had a powerful group of 65 spayed hfrs, 806 lb, that hit 173.75. 44 hd of the 798 lb hfrs marked 173.00. Pan Prairie Farms had 651 lb Blk Angus s/c that sold to 197.00. Their 569 lb Blk s/c hit 208.00 and the 623 lb Angus h/c sold to 176.50. Bohnet Ranch’s 525 lb s/c hit 219.00 and their 462 lb h/c sold to 200.00. Greg Goodanetz saw his 665 lb Simm x s/c notch 197.50 and his 585 lb s/c rolled to 207.00 while his 564 lb h/c traded at 182.00. Nick & Lonette Graffunder had 628 lb Red x h/c that brought 178.00. Scott & Sherry McLeod, S&S Farms, saw their 656 lb Simm x s/c reach 195.00 while their 560 lb s/c brought 212.50. Their beautiful ring load of 602 lb h/c marched up to 179.00. Al Lagaden’s 573 lb Blk s/c sold to 209.00 and his 524 lb s/c sold to 219.00. His 414 lb s/c topped our sale at 260.00 while his 512 lb h/c also topped their weight range at 188.50. Jamie & Maureen Janzen set a pace with their Hereford / Red Angus x, 604 lb, s/c that powered to 195.00. Their 506 lb s/c raced up to 216.50. Bryan Cunningham was in with a stellar set of Blk Angus x calves. His 562 lb s/c hit 207.50. Telegraph Trails Ranch, Lee Migvar was in with a load of 27 strs, 936 lb and all Angus x, that topped their weight range at 176.25. Bill Armstrong had 776 lb s/c, the heaviest in the sale and all Angus x, that topped 179.00. Joe & Terry Baudin had powerful 735 lb s/c, all Simm / Red Angus x, that traded to 186.75 and 14 hd of their 688 lb h/c saw 175.00. Boyd Smith showcased top Blk Angus s/c, 570 lb, they powered to 203.50. Next we saw Eric Bergstrand’s 674 lb Angus x s/c reach 193.00 and his 617 lb, Simm x h/c sold to 169.00. Jason & Jana Quesnel sold their solid, 628 lb, Angus x s/c at 193.00 and their 550 lb s/c raced to 208.00. Next they filled the ring with 519 lb Angus x h/c that hit 185.25. Steve Langenegger’s 615 lb, Red Angus s/c sold to 195.00. Darren & Rita Brackman’s 505 lb Blk s/c traded up to 210.00 and their fancy, 508 lb, Blk Angus h/c traded at 188.00. Split Brook Farms, Schaan & Lisa Perry, had 421 lb, Red Baldie s/c settle at 257.00. Huge thanks to all the bidders, buyers and contributors today for this electric sale.
