The quality at the 3rd Special Wednesday Calf sale of the year was incredible. Over Wednesday and Thursday Wade and his crew handled 4000 hd of calves. The Ilnicki Ranch showcased 700 calves, all from one ranch. 108 hd of their top quality 590 lb, Blk & Red Angus s/c raced to 200.00. Next, a liner load of 111 hd of their 510 lb s/c powered to 215.50. Their liner load, 104 hd, of Blk Angus h/c, 581 lb, notched 170.50 and their 2nd liner load of h/c, 503 lb and all Blk Angus marked 185.00. Walt & Carol Foster, Sand Creek Ranch, saw their 506 lb, Angus x s/c reach 216.00. Springfield Ranch was in with over 400 hd of quality Angus calves. Their straight liner load of 600 lb s/c hit 200.00. their 517 lb s/c topped 216.00. Their Angus influence group of 75 h/c, 527 lb, saw 175.75. Roger Williams & Wanda Dorsey saw their load of 440 lb h/c top their weight range at 200.50. Eli & Terra Hatch had 449 lb h/c trading to 201.50. Larry & Bev Ramstad showed us top quality Blk Angus calves with their load of 54 Blk s/c, 550 lb, that hit 210.00. The big brothers, 617 lb, Blk Angus s/c hit 195.00 and 37 hd of their 505 lb Angus h/c brought 180.00. MacDonald Cattle Co. had 531 lb Angus x s/c that brought 210.50. Stew & Jen Roberts had 27 hd of 585 lb Char x s/c that raced to 203.75. Their pen of 489 lb s/c saw 223.00 and 24 hd of their picture perfect, 520 lb Char x h/c notched 181.00, while their 600 lb Char x h/c topped 175.00. Gordon & Sandra Fouty saw their solid 581 lb s/c sell to 196.75. Jared & Shelly Fletcher’s load of 510 lb s/c hit 215.75, their 417 lb s/c topped 241.00 and their 420 lb h/c rolled to 189.00. 3M Simmentals, Monte & Darlene Furber had some of the heaviest calves at 707 lb that topped 185.00. Henry & Aileen Lampert’s 476 lb Angus x s/c hit 244.00 and their 545 lb s/c traded to 211.00. Mike & Tony Bayliff set the yearling trade with 52 hd of their 800 lb Hereford strs that notched 174.75. The big boys, all Hereford and 922 lb, set in at 170.50. Butcher cows sold mainly from 63.00 - 70.00, with a few topping 73.50. Butcher bulls were mostly 82.00 - 88.00 with a few sales to 94.50.
