We had great receipts, 1100 hd, this week in Kamloops as we combined 2 incredible In-House Video Sales, totaling 400 calves, with our regular Tuesday sale that saw 700 hd roll through the ring. The buyer activity was awesome as they fought to own this years crop of excellent yearlings and calves. Keith Boulter put a nice set of h/c, 373 lb, through the ring that marked 257.00. Bob & Suzanne Brash brought their powerful, Blk Angus s/c, 685 lb, that raced to 208.25. Their 660 lb h/c notched 188.50 and their 628 lb s/c traded at 209.50. Windrow Farms had 809 lb strs set a pace at 194.00 and their 773 lb hfrs rolled to 178.00. Rivers Edge Ranching brought in 660 lb RBF s/c that notched 213.50 and their fancy pen of 600 lb, Char h/c set the trend at 192.00. Gord & Chris Hudson saw their 495 lb RBF s/c top 231.00, their 584 lb RBF h/c saw 190.00 and their 429 lb h/c set the price level at 228.50. Larry Spence saw his 700 lb, powerful s/c trade to 207.00 and his 565 lb s/c managed 218.00. The h/c blew the doors off with 665 lb h/c notching 185.50. Next, the screen dropped and we went right into our In-House Video Sales for Schweb Family Cattle  and  Stirling Creek Ranch. We started with 90 hd of the reputation Schweb Family Cattle Simm / Angus x s/c, called 640 lb, They were the market price leader at 207.50. Next we hit the Stirling Creek Ranch video sale. Their 1st load of 95 s/c, 640 lb and all top quality Angus x, traded to 206.00. Their 2nd liner load of 95 s/c, called 550 lb, again all Angus x, marched up to 215.00. Their load of 105 fancy h/c, 575 lb, hit 185.00. Louise Demarni & Brian Foley’s 1025 lb hfrs hit 155.00. Fennel Ranches showcased their 609 lb fancy Blk s/c at 218.00 and their 656 lb Blk s/c topped 227.00. Bernese Meadow Ranch was in with their Red x 678 lb s/c that reached 216.25. their 558 lb s/c sold to 221.00 and the 578 lb Simm x h/c notched 194.00 while the smaller, 433 lb, h/c topped 209.00. Mary Curnow saw her 704 lb s/c reach 211.25 and her butcher cows, 1475 lb, sold to 81.00 while her 1975 lb bull brought 108.50. Ken & Linda Allison had 525 lb s/c at 219.00. Whitley Lake Ranch’s 512 lb Blk s/c hit 223.75 and their 432 lb Blk s/c rolled to 246.50. Bob Posadovsky had 526 lb Blk Angus s/c top our trade at 224.25 and his 1900 lb cows sold to 83.25. The Deanfield Ranch brought in a top set of Hereford strs, 1046 lb, that set the record at 160.00 while their 930 lb Hereford strs raced to 174.00. Jennifer Stanley had some excellent Angus x calves. Her 528 lb s/c hit 219.00. River View Ranch had 526 lb Gelbvieh x s/c that raced up to 223.25. Ed Mertion’s 675 lb Blk strs sold to 187.00. Cheam Creek Farm’s 853 lb Angus x strs brought 173.00. Wayne & Jill Hughes had 1552 lb Blk Angus cows that traded to 83.75. Tim Ebl’s 1690 lb Hereford cows rolled to 82.25. Thank to everyone for a great, fast sale full of quality!
