VANDERHOOF REGULAR SALE, FRIDAY, AUGUST 28th, 2020

We had a rockin little sale here on Friday as markets continue to gain strength. 450 feeders came to town and let’s look at Kerr Cattle Co. (Telkwa) with growthy 1009 lb strs pushing to 175.00, 880 lb strs jump to 184.50. A Limo bull topped the bull trade at 125.00! Mike O’Meara (Van) had a ring load of 874 lb strs reach 188.00. Tim Wheeler (Van) had a pen of 994 lb strs race to 176.00. 930 lb strs at 180.50. The Reimer Ranch (Van) had 48 hd of 912 lb blk x strs fetch 182.25, 884 lb hfrs at 168.75 and 789 lb hfrs mark 173.50. Charles Aebischer (Fort Fraser) was in with some 868 lb exotic x hfrs notching 168.00. Walt Dettwiler (Van) saw his 916 lb Angus hfrs climb to 166.75. We only had a handful of cows and they average 86.00 but we did see a bit of bull power like the 2025 lb blk bull from Muir Stock Farms (Van) worth 119.00. Cindy and Doug Brophy (Van) had a 2000 lb blk bull hit 120.00. Brian Hall (Van) had a 2140 lb red bull force 121.00. We appreciate the contributors supporting the Co-op. Thanks also to the buyers and crew for making this a great place to do business. Looks like 250-300 hd expected for the sheep and goat sale this Thursday. The next regular sale is September 11.
