KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, APRIL 21st, 2020

We had huge volume in Kamloops today between our In-House Video and our Regular Sale, with very close to 900 hd. There was incredible interest in our feeder cattle and quality was 1st class. The Salle Ranch were market leaders with their 716 lb Red Angus Sim x strs that traded to 187.00 while their 14 hd of 806 lb strs notched 173.00. Lorraine Bosshardt had 985 lb Blk Angus replacement hfrs trade to 145.00. Phil & Shirley Johnston set an incredible pace with 800 lb Red Baldie strs that hit 174.00. Their Hereford strs, again, right at 800 lb, hit 169.50 and their 700 lb hfrs showed 165.00. Russell & Barb Abel set a trend with 807 lb Blk Angus x s/c that topped 170.00. Their 660 lb strs notched 200.00. 10 hd of their fancy replacement hfrs, 714 lb, that rolled to 160.00 and their 580 lb Blk Angus hfrs hit 192.00. The In-House Video Sale for Gordon & Dianna Puhallo was rolling at 11:00. They showcased 140 hfrs, 850 lb called weight, and some of the best cattle in the industry. They saw their sale top the week at 143.50. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. saw their reputation Char x grasser strs, 689 lb, bring 200.50 and their 770 lb Char x hfrs sold to 170.00. Randy & Wendy Prebushewski’s 584 lb Blk hfrs sold to 187.00 and their 700 lb hfrs brought 166.00. James Huwer had 575 lb s/c top 225.00 and his 665 lb hfrs hit 176.00. Tafika Angus, Wayne and Jill Hughes & Family, presented 30 incredible replacement quality Blk Angus hfrs, weighing right at 1000 lb, that sold to a top of 151.00. The Squaw Valley Ranch put a spectacular product in front of us with their Angus / Red Simm x s/c, 659 lb, that grabbed 205.00. A pen of their 510 lb s/c marched to 236.00 and their pen of 679 lb hfrs notched 182.50. A fancy pen of their 546 lb Red Angus / Red Simm x h/c raced up to 191.00. Doug & Lois Miller saw their 783 lb Red Baldie replacement quality hfrs trade to 158.00. Fred Bowers had 800 lb Hereford replacement hfrs that hit 157.50. Scott & Sherry McLeod set a pace with grass cattle. Their 586 lb strs brought 239.00 and their 760 lb strs saw 183.00. Their pen of 628 lb Red Blaze Face hfrs raced to 178.00. Brian & Sidsel Gunderson were in with an excellent pen of 700 lb hfrs that topped 171.00. Rex & Trish Duncan topped our butcher bull trade with 1875 lb bulls at 92.00. Siravo Holdings had 1470 lb young feeder hfrs trade to 130.00. Roger & Sue Taylor from Prince George had 1440 lb butcher cows sell to 75.50.
