While we are starting to see a slow down to the fall run, we still had 850 hd go through the Kamloops ring today. We ran heavier to butcher cows & bulls today with over 500 hd on offer. To start off the sale we had around 300 hd of quality calves run through the ring. The Whatshan Cattle Co. was the market trend setter with their heavy 746 lb, Angus/Simm x s/c that topped 194.50. Their h/c were also incredible quality, the 715 lb Angus/Simm x girls brought 173.00 and their 647 lb h/c saw 177.00. The Highland Lake Ranch brought 925 lb yearling strs that notched 185.00. Bob Posadovsky had a great set of Blk Angus s/c, 641 lb, top 199.25 and his h/c, 530 lb, also Blk Angus, notched 186.00. Next, John & Judy Greenall rolled in with some excellent Hereford calves. Their pen of 6 h/c, 678 lb, raced to 171.00, or 1160.00 per hd. Bryan Cunningham had 460 lb s/c top 225.00. The Cadillac Ranch had 650 lb Blk Angus h/c top 169.00. 8 Mile Ranch was in with heavy 748 lb Blk Angus strs that grabbed 195.50 and their 665 lb h/c topped 180.50.  Scuitto Creek Ranch’s 619 lb Red s/c hit 200.00 and their 500 lb Red h/c sold to 180.00. Jim Gooch had 670 lb Blk s/c sell to 191.00. Mullin Ranches’ brought 528 lb h/c that reached 183.00, their 423 lb Angus x h/c hit 200.00 and their 942 lb hfrs traded to 170.00. Ed & Angela Pawloff’s 575 lb Simm x s/c notched 208.00 and their 725 lb s/c sold to 192.00. Alex Lytvynenko saw his 687 lb strs top 181.00 and his 691 lb Blk Angus h/c rolled to 170.50. Indian Gardens Ranch was in with 606 lb Blk Angus s/c that marched to 206.00 and Kamland Holdings had 713 lb Angus s/c sell to 194.75. Paul Keizer of the Dot Ranch brought 963 lb Angus hfrs that held on to 177.50. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. hit town with 212 hd of butcher cows and yearling hfrs. 28 hd of their powerful 938 lb hfrs hit 175.00. Next, 44 hd of their big Hereford butcher cows, 1346 lb, traded for 71.00. Their younger, 3 & 4 yr olds, at 1045 lb, marked 95.00. Fennell Ranches had 1013 lb yearling hfrs trade to 167.00. Frolek Cattle Co. was in with a liner load of butcher cows, 1376 lb, that powered to 70.00. Friday, November 29th will be the Kamloops Bred Cow & Heifer Sale, we will have over 400 hd of top Breds on offer! Next week, Tuesday, December 3rd, we have 2 liner loads of butcher cows and a liner load of yearling hfrs from the Douglas Lake Cattle Co. coming in. We also have 250 calves, 100 yearlings, and a bunch of butcher cows & bulls lined up.
