We had another exciting sale full of quality cattle on this beautiful, sunny day! What excellent numbers for this time of year, with just under 700 hd on offer. The mix was perfect with lots of good yearlings, plus well over 100 calves going through the ring. Cliff Filmore was in with some of the heaviest yearlings on offer. His 1081 lb strs flew up to 170.00. The Buse Creek Ranch, brought 11 hd of 906 lb spayed hfrs that marked 167.50 and their big sisters, at 961 lb, saw 167.50. Split Brook Farms, Schaan & Lisa Perry, had 655 lb strs power up to 207.75. Andy & Simone Hoglund saw their 907 lb Angus x strs race to 183.50 and their 820 lb strs saw 190.00. David Munro had 863 lb Red Angus x strs notch 185.00. Gary & Joanne Armstrong were in with a top load of 718 lb Blk Angus strs that hit 211.50. Brenda Sproule had 668 lb hfrs trade to 191.00. At 11:00 we showcased the In-House Video Sale for Doug & Laurie Haughton and Family set the leadership in Quality cattle with their 3 liner loads of reputation 990 lb Red, RWF & Red Baldie spayed hfrs, (delivery Sept. 7th) . Every buyer was on the edge of their seats and the bidding raced to 170.00. Lorne & Cindy Hulley saw their 568 lb Angus s/c hit 219.25 and their 525 lb h/c sold to 190.00. John Hollstedt saw his 730 lb hfrs reach 179.00. Robbie & Arlene Smith showcased a solid set of 939 lb Angus strs that rolled up to 184.25 and their 883 lb strs that marched up to 190.00. Norm Kienitz was in with 1020 lb, solid and good, strs that traded to 180.00. Dorn & Elsie Speed’s 678 lb s/c notched 205.00 and their Red 588 lb h/c saw 186.50. McGillivray Land & Livestock brought 1054 lb Blk Angus hfrs that raced to 165.50. Mel & Vickie Hough’s 570 lb s/c brought them 218.00. Next, Larry Desautel’s 855 lb strs marched to 188.00. John Peachy had 989 lb Blk hfrs trade to 165.00. Shirley McCaig saw her good 868 lb Angus strs top 188.50. Dalgleish Ranching Co. had 975 lb strs bring 180.00. John Barten’s 705 lb Red strs saw 205.00. Robert Schuster had 1845 lb butcher bulls that powered to 114.00 and Jerry Reitsma was in with 1700 lb butcher cows that topped 88.00. Our next sale is not far away, September 10th. This will be an excellent sale with a great mix of yearlings, calves and butcher cows and bulls!
