This was a great sale, showcasing 2000 calves, 200 yearlings, 200 cows and 30 bulls. We started the sale with Robin Creek Dairy’s (Telkwa) powerful 646 lb s/c hit 210.00, followed by a sort of 33 s/c weighing 580 lbs race up to 215.75. A package of his 605 lb heifers saw 196.00. Andres Grunthal Equip (PG),with 686 lb s/c, brought the hammer down at 205.25. Walt Cool (Van) showed us a nice group of 30 red s/c weighing 414 lb bring 238.50. A pkg of his 19 red h/c weighing 364 lbs brought 220.00. Charlie Peebles (Burns Lk) had a nice group of tan s/c 519 lbs bring 225.25. J&R Ranch (Houston) showed us a group of 18 s/c 672 lbs hit 211.75, while the sisters weighing 628 lbs raced to 193.75. Bill Evans (Fraser Lk) 696 lb s/c marked 206.00, his lighter end of s/c weighed in at 597 lbs and saw 211.25. Doug McEntire (Burns Lk) 14 head of 641lb s/c brought the hammer down at 209.50, their nice pkg of 15 h/c 523 lbs 199.25. Andy Meints (Houston) had a beautiful red pkg of 36 steers 587 lbs 211.75. Mike Reiter (PG) 540 lb blk s/c hit 215.00. Mountain View Ranch (Van) busted through the doors with a pkg of 40 blk s/c weighing 513 lb that raced up to 226.25, while their pkg of 28 466 lb h/c brought 205.75. We had an impressive offering of yearlings, starting off with Clayton Steiner (Fraser Lk) 26 y/s weighing 1157 lbs hit 161.50, his group of y/h 925 lbs brought 173.25. Skyline Ranch (Takysie) brought us a top group of y/s 1027 lbs that brought 162.50, the lighter end 867 lb y/s cracked 195.75. John Vanzanten (Burns Lk) had a group of cows sort up to weigh 1561 lbs and climb to 82.75. Gerry & Rene Jones (Ft Fraser) with a red bull weighing 1980 lbs brought 94.00, while their 1419 lb cows hit 82.25. Victor Bateson (Burns Lk) had his 2010 lb blk bull run to 94.00.
