The Kamloops Stockyard was a wall of action again as another 1150 hd of cattle hit the ring. The sale was electric & the quality kept the buyers fighting to own them! Sophia Saemerow set a pace on her bigger calves with her 710 lb Blk Angus s/c that raced all the way up to 207.00. Whatshan Cattle Co. in with a whole bunch of top quality. Their 592 lb Angus x s/c ran up to 220.00 and the big boys, just under 700 lb, hit 209.00. They filled the ring with 570 lb s/c that notched 197.50. Their 503 lb h/c marched up to 203.00. On their yearling side, their 905 lb hfrs sold at 178.00. Eunice Jaffray showcased a pen of purebred Blk Angus s/c, 665 lb, that settled up at 211.00. Her 522 lb s/c set the bar at a new high, hitting 225.50 and her good 350 lb Hereford s/c raced way up to 254.00. The Philip Ranch was a wall of quality and the buyers loved them! With 118 hd, they rocked the show. The big pen of 703 lb s/c powered to 208.00. Their next ring full of industry leading 634 lb s/c saw 217.00 and their 600 lb h/c rolled right up to 194.00. Nick & Lonette Graffunder set a trend, with their 550 lb Simm / Red Angus x s/c hitting 222.50. Peter Deuling’s 570 lb Angus h/c sold to 194.00 and his 493 lb h/c marched up to 204.00. Paul Hooysma’s 569 lb s/c ran up to 220.50. Dirk & Joyanne Vandermeer topped our 500 lb s/c class with their 510 lb s/c selling at 226.50 and their 458 lb h/c settling in at 209.00. Next in the ring was Bill & Kelly Jackson who saw their 710 lb Red x s/c sell to 206.75, their 510 lb s/c hit 225.00 and their 539 lb h/c topped 195.00. Jim & Dorothy Fox in with 615 lb Angus x s/c reach 218.00 and their 488 lb Angus h/c bring in 205.00. Mary Curnow’s big, strong, 701 lb Speckled Park s/c sold to 201.00 and her 746 lb Simm s/c hit 206.50. Steven MacDougall blew the doors off with his 627 lb s/c that flew up to 219.00. 19 hd of his Gelbvieh x, 592 lb s/c rocked 222.50 and his 708 lb s/c saw 207.00. Daylene Lirette in with solid 565 lb Blk Angus s/c that marked 221.00. Ian & Brenda Jones saw their fancy blk & bwf h/c, 542 lb, notch 194.00 and their 378 lb s/c powered up to 258.00. Joyce Andrews brought us heavy 721 lb Blk Baldie s/c that traded at 206.00. A liner load of Bradner Farm’s 955 lb Blk Angus hfrs brought 175.00. Butcher cows & bulls sold pretty much in line with last week. This was another top day in Kamloops. Huge thanks to all our contributors that showcased their cattle.
