KAMLOOPS SALE, TUESDAY, AUGUST 7th, 2018

What a sale! Over 700 head went through the ring in Kamloops. Today featured the 6 liner loads (365 head)  of spay hfrs from Doug & Laurie Haughton plus another 200 feeders. We also showcased the herd dispersal sale for Len Tonn of Kelowna with 50 top cow / calf pairs. Dave Atkinson set the pace on the yearling trade and did they ever sell! His 1009 lb strs hit 180.75. His pen of 869 lb strs notched 195.50 and his pen of 818 lb hfrs saw 183.00. His pen of big hfrs at 923 lb hit 177.00. Phil & Shirley Jonston’s 1015 lb strs raced up to 182.00 and 13 hd of their 963 lb strs powered to 186.00. Their 851 lb strs notched 190.00. The Arrowhead Ranch saw their 1010 lb strs reach 183.75 and their 805 lb hfrs hit 190.50. Ken & Linda Allison had 13 hd of 813 lb strs mark 194.00. The Massey Ranch, from Lumby, broke  record as their 536 lb strs raced up to 229.00. Merle Gammon had his 1216 lb strs, powerful and good, trade to 162.00, or 1969.92 per hd. Darren Calhouns’ 640 lb hfrs sold to 203.00. Shawn Swaboda’s 475 lb s/c hit 235.00.Tamahi’s 430 lb s/c reached 241.00. Len & Marvin Tonn sold a reputation herd of cow / calf pairs, their young, fancy Angus cows, with April Char Calves at side, sold to 2375.00. Warren & Trudy Schweb had Black Angus cow / calf pairs trade to 2050.00. The in house video for Doug & Laurie Haughton and Family set a trend that was incredible! 6 liner loads, all one owner, they called to weight 1030 lb, delivering September 8th, raced right up to 174.25. The Frolek Cattle Co was in with a liner load of premium quality butcher cows, 1489 lb, that reached up to 90.00. Our top butcher bull, from Bernese Meadows Ranch, hit 119.00.
