If you hear someone suggest that there is no longer need for auction sales show them this report! Just over 750 hd in from 127 contributors and like a well oiled machine the crew made a great presentation and we found top dollar for each of these fine animals. For strs we saw a great set of 678 lb blk strs in from Johnson Farms (Vanderhoof) worth 197.00, 598 lb strs hit 220.00. Elizabeth Schalin (PG) saw her 714 lb red strs fetch 197.00, 569 lb strs at 243.00. Arnett Ranch (PG) with big 821 lb strs reaching 171.00, 733 lb hfrs up to 173.00. Walt Cool (Vanderhoof) with 649 lb Saler strs cracking 219.00, 580 lb hfrs at 209.00. From Burns Lk we had Clint Lambert in with 589 lb strs striking 230.25, Clint's 1313 lb cows traded for 93.00. Lots of hfrs again and from Triple N Ranch (Burns Lk) we saw 670 lb blk hfrs notch 189.75, 595 lb hfrs at 202.50. Harold and Bonnie Moroski (Burns Lk) with a pen of 626 lb red hfrs climbing to 203.25. Lance and Kristine Brown (Hixon) saw their 695 lb blk x hfrs hit 189.50. Walter Anchikoski (PG) rung the bell with a set of 668 lb Angus hfrs at 213.00. We had a few pairs to entertain the lunch crowd and Cody Large (PG) enjoyed 2350 for his red c/c. Sunny Point Cattle Co. (Smithers) had blk pairs race to 2100. A solid run in butcher cattle like the 1465 lb cows from Geoff Stubbs (Ft Fraser) marking 97.25. Tanya Belsham (Houston) saw her 1583 lb blk cows demand 97.75. Ron Fawcett (Vanderhoof) with 1339 lb cows at 94.00. Golden Meadows Ranch (Ft Fraser) had 1477 lb cows force 98.25. Kochel Cattle and Timber (Vanderhoof) in with 1284 lb cows selling at 96.25. Ken Fawcett (Vanderhoof) had a 1925 lb red bull reach 112.50. J and R Ranch (Houston) saw their 1985 lb red bull notch 114.50 and our heaviest ring load of the day was 9 bulls from Rim Rock Ranch (Vanderhoof) averaging 2051 and maxing out at 117.00. What a sale! We enjoyed a variety of items in the Foodgrains Bank sale including hanging baskets, variety baskets, tools, baked goods and about a dozen cattle. Thank you to all who donated to this wonderful cause. Again I want to thank everyone for their patience as we adapted to our limitations this spring. Also I appreciate the perseverance of the crew, we got'er done and now we can look forward to an updated facility come fall. Next scheduled sale is July 20th.
