KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, MARCH 6th, 2018
Huge volume and exciting action in Kamloops as we combined a top cattle sale with an incredible Charolais bull sale plus one top Black Angus bull sale! The house was packed and a great time was had by all! For our regular sale we had Cori Hoigaard was in with his powerful 708 lb Angus s/c notching 194.00. Alan Rauch, from Merritt, watched his top 628 lb s/c fetch 218.75.
Marion Rauch had 810 blk Angus s/c powering to 180.00, her great 635 lb s/c hit 220.00 and a picture perfect pen of her 642 lb replacement quality blk Angus h/c cracked 194.00. The Russell Meadow Dairy showcased 2 powerful liner loads of Char / Red Angus X strs and hfrs. Their pen of 50 s/c, right at 700 lb, raced up to 206.50. The next draft of s/c, 48 hd all together, weighing 612 lb went all the way up to 223.00. A fancy pen of their 720 lb h/c, again, Char / Red Angus X, topped 180.00 and their next great pen of 617 lb h/c saw 196.00. Jason & Marla Martin, from Dunster, saw their pen of Char / Red Angus X, 766 lb s/c trade to 194.50. A pen of their 636 lb fancy and good s/c rolled right up to 225.00 and a ring full of their beautiful 751 lb h/c fetched 176.25. T.G. Hanna had 580 lb red s/c hit 224.00, their 723 lb red s/c sold to 198.00 and their 655 lb h/c hit 194.00 Mary Curnow’s 907 lb solid blk hfrs sold to 165.00. Jason & Marla Martin’s 923 lb hfrs sold to 162.00 and their 1505 lb Char kill cows brought 91.00. Barry & Maureen Brady brought us 1465 lb cows that forced 93.00. Mary Curnow topped the cow trade for the day with 1685 lb cows marking 97.00. Thanks to all our contributors and buyers for one great quality and exciting cattle sale!
RRTS CHAROLAIS BULL SALE & STILL MEADOWS BLACK ANGUS BULL SALE , TUESDAY, MARCH 6th, 2018
We had one spectacular bull sale, everyone was on the edge of their seats and the bidding was fast and furious! RRTS Charolais, Rob & Tina Stowards & Family, showcased 18 purebred, top quality yearling Charolais Bulls. The high selling Charolais bull was 57E, sold to Peter Trescher of Brisco, BC, for 6500.00. The Gardner Ranch, from Horsefly, picked up the second high seller, 43E, for 6250.00. The 3rd high seller, 82D, went to Tamihi Ranch for 6100.00. Every bull sold and the sale average from 4605.56. A huge thank you to everyone who attended this first class sale of top Charolais bulls, and to Rob, Tina and family for keeping quality first! The Still Meadows Ranch 1st Annual Purebred Black Angus Bull sale showed tremendous action! Lot 11, a beautiful Black Angus yearling bull, sold for 16,500.00 to the Willow Springs Ranch, Lot 17, another great yearling, sold for 7000.00 to George Davidson. Tamihi Ranch and Bradner Farms were volume buyers today as well. The sale average on theses quality Black bulls was 4325.00. We would like to thank Still Meadows Ranch for showcasing these great bulls! We enjoyed every minute of both of the bull sales today and loved seeing all our buyers doing the same!
