Another exciting sale here in Kamloops as just under 900 hd of cattle hit the showring. Calves were plentiful and quality was first class. Nick & Lonette Graffunder tested the bull market with 2060 lb butcher bulls at 94.00. Kitzel Cattle Co.  Had 2245 lb butcher bulls top 95.75. Dan & Janette Speller saw their 1291 lb young butcher cows top 90.00. The calf sale side was shortly underway. Perry & Laura Dewar from 70 Mile House had fancy 405 lb Red Angus s/c mark 251.00. Ken & Linda Allison from Clinton saw their 400 lb s/c today hit 265.00 and their fancy pen of 392 lb h/c raced to 227.00. The Iron Mtn Ranch, Bob & Anne Chambers, saw their 568 lb s/c (from Merritt) top 220.00 and their 450 lb s/c reached 255.00. Warren MacLennan saw his fancy 668 lb red HFRS sell to 183.00. Ramona Pierro’s 613 lb blk s/c sold to 213.50. Harold Aljam from Merritt had 680 lb Hereford s/c race to 203.00. Jamie and Maureen Janzen from Clinton brought 645 lb s/c bringing in 216.50. Their 528 lb Red/Simm X s/c climbed to 240.00. Hlusek Farms from Abbotsford had top quality 369 lb h/c power to 221.50. Balmoral Farms’, from Tappen, 554 lb Black Angus s/c traded to 233.00 John & Anne Grawhler from Clinton powered in with 45 top calves. Their pen of 12 Red Baldy s/c, at 569 lb, raced to 228.00 and 20 hd of their 471 lb s/c notched 239.00. Chinook Cove Ranches, Greg Goodanetz, set the bar high as his select group of top quality calves hit the ring. His 647 lb Angus X s/c hit 215.75. 17 hd of his 583 lb s/c notched 224.25. The lighter 489 lb s/c saw 238.00. Sophia Saemerow brought in tremendous, heavy 880 lb STRS that traded to 194.00 and her fancy 740 lb replacement h/c saw 177.00. Fred Bowes saw his 448 lb Hereford s/c race to 243.00 and and his 500 weight s/c reached all the way to 230.00.Well that does it for today! What an incredible sale from start to fnish. Prices held real steady. Don’t forget that Saturday, November 25th is our huge Bred cow & Bred Heifer sale. The sale starts at 11:00 am and we have 600 hd listed.
