Huge receipts again this week in Kamloops with 2800 head. Yearlings were more plentiful with 400 on offer. The quality of calves again this week was solid from start to finish. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. in with a liner load of 80 Hereford HFRS at 783 lbs that traded to 191.25. Their second liner load of 71 fancy Hereford HFRS, weighing 863 lb, traded to 189.00. John Barten in with 867 lb blk Angus STRS marking 204.50. Clint Wall  of McBride in with a top pen of calves. Hits 507 lb s/c hit 219.00. Fred & Eileen Wall from Dunster with 609 lb s/c reaching 208.25. Dixon Creek Farms set a pace to the market today, their 544 lb blk Angus X s/c raced to 227.50, their 529 lb s/c hit 231.00 and 32 head of their fancy, 585 lb h/c hit 201.00. Ed & Angela Pawloff had their 570 lb blk Angus h/c top 205.00. Andrew Finnerty from Pemberton with heavy 788 lb blk Angus s/c notching 209.75. Lea Ronayne with some of the heaviest calves in the sale. Her 843 lb s/c brought 199.00, or 1677.57 each and one STR that weighed 990 lb brought 180.00. Ronayne Farms from Pemberton had 671 lb blk Angus X s/c marking 214.25 and 490 lb s/c hit 233.00. 13 of their 572 lb blk Angus h/c notched 188.00. The Double B Ranch from Valemount also in with top calves. Their 681 lb red X s/c hit 214.00. A top group of calves from The Schweb Family Farm. Their pen of 644 lb Angus X s/c notched 216.25, their 532 lb s/c marked 230.00 and their load of 606 lb h/c hit 196.25. Jordan Manning saw his 590 lb blk s/c hit 216.00, his 511 lb s/c topped 230.00 and his 455 lb s/c reached 249.00. Rafael Horsch & Janet Young brought a top quality load of calves. Their superior 519 lb s/c raced to 226.00 and their fancy 482 lb h/c notched 211.50. Nick & Lonette Graffunder ‘s 605 lb Red / Simm X HFRS sold to 202.50 and their 667 lb Red / Simm X STRS raced to 214.75. Mullin Ranch in with an exceptional load of calves 413 lb blk s/c topped 237.50, their 528 lb s/c sold to 227.50 and their fancy 427 lb h/c hit 222.25. Tamahi Farms powerful 606 lb Blk Angus s/c notched 216.00. Derek and Tara Anderson, from Savona, with some powerful, heavy calves. Their 706 lb Red Angus X s/c hit 211.75 and their 658 lb s/c notched 216.00. Burbridge Farms top end of  34 s/c, 619 lb, saw 216.50. Sierra Simmentals’ heavy 600 lb Sim X HFRS reached 198.75. Jon Peachy in today with choice calves. His powerful 646 lb Angus X s/c hit 215.00 and his pen of great 587 lb s/c hit 221.00. R. Devick & Sons with a top pen of calves. Their 664 lb Blk Angus s/c hit 218.25 and their 584 lb s/c reached 220.25. The Sharpe Lake Ranch presented 150 top yearlings. 52 hd of their 850 lb STRS hit 205.25 and their 758 lb STRS hit 211.75. This sale was huge but everything ran smoothly, a big thanks to staff for all their hard work and to our producers for all the amazing cattle that hit the ring.
