VANDERHOOF ALL BREEDS BULL SALE SATURDAY, APRIL 8TH
What a great crowd we had here for the 42nd Annual All Breeds Bull Sale.
The Wrangler 4-H club did a great job serving beef on a bun provided by Westline Ford and the Vanderhoof Co-op. We saw a great representation of bulls from 4 breeds and this year we start with Angus. Lot#1 from Matt’s Red Angus showed a powerful two year old Red Angus bull, registered name Matt’s Max 11C set the pace at 4400.00. North 40 Red Angus, with a great set of yearling bulls, their top bull was Lot #8, Red North 40 Rough Rider 21D at 5500.00. Jayron Weins joins us for the first time, and what a classy pen of Black Angus bulls. Lot #14 NCL Deacon 07D hit the roof at 4900.00.
Day-Lite Farms showcased another crop of quality 2 year old Black Angus bulls, Lot #17 Day-Lite Cross 9C showed the strongest at 4250.00.
Broken Saw Farms back again with solid Red Angus bulls. Lot # 20 Red Broken Saw Barn Dance 2C hit 4000.00. Skara Brae Angus never fail to bring top notch Black Angus bulls. Lot #23 Skara Brae Right Time 48D raced to 5400.00. Quick Haven Angus here with Black Angus bulls. Lot #29 Quick Haven Dynasty Maker 18D sold for 3500.00. Meints Cattle Co. back with a great pen of Red Angus bulls. Topping the pen was Lot #35, Red Meints Chasin 9D at 3700.00. Henry & Bonnie Meints, also with Red Angus saw their lot #38 Red Cruze Duke stop the bid at 3500.00. Richardson Ranch as always had an elite pen of polled Herefords. Their best was Lot #43 Tlell 200Z Denim 11D at 5200.00. Copper T Ranch also with good quality polled Hereford bulls. Best in their pen was Lot #41 Copper-T 2W Gold Coin 20C at 5800.00. TK Cattle Co. brought another set of great Charolais bulls. Lot #47 TKCC Continental 15C ran to the top at 4300.00. Southside Charolais showed us what 2 year old Charolais should look like with Lot #50, Southside Dahlia 7C topping the sale at 5900.00. Giddings Brothers displayed a set of growth Charolais bulls. Lot #52, Gid Rider 4D brought 3000.00. 3M Simmental with a nice even set of Red Simmentals saw lot # 56, Three m Red Diago 11D rise to the top at 4500.00. Lorne Webster in with Black Simmental bulls had Lot #64, LGW in command 7D drive the bid to 3700.00. Finally we capped the whole deal with years of quality we come to expect from Crosby Cattle Co. Lot # 68, Xbar Gunnerson 14D was their best at 5700.00. Again we thank all who attended, it was great to see such a full building. The contributors did a top notch job preparing the bulls and we made a great day of it. Don’t forget our next regular sale is April 28th, over 500 booked in already.
