KAMLOOPS SALE, TUESDAY APRIL 25TH

Well again it was just a wall of cattle today as 1400 head of cattle hit the sale ring. Every buyer chair was filled and they loved what they saw. Marvin Tonn’s 1360 lb cows topped 114.00.
The Squaw Valley Ranch from Lumby in with big cows, 1615 lb notched 109.50. George Little with 2080 lb bulls marking 128.75. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. presented 23 head of 954 lb Heiferettes, they traded to 140.25, their 883 lb Heiferettes hit 143.25. Ralph & Irene Thomsen showcased the calf sale with some of the best  Herefords in the industry, their pen of 689 lb Hereford steers marked 227.00. Their big steers, 767 lb powerful Hereford’s traded to 197.00. Their replacement quality Hereford heifers, 730 lbs notched 185.00. 22 head of their 600 lb Hereford h/c notched 201.00, their 609 lb h/c raced to 209.00. Phil & Shirley Johnston showcased their CharX calves, their top 965 lb Tan steers hit 170.00, the 870 lb steers rolled to 183.00 and their 807 lb heifers brought 173.25, the 782 lb heifers sold to 180.00. The Iron Mountain Ranch’s 571 lb Blk-Bwf s/c from Merritt traded to  238.50, their 523 lb s/c hit 241.00. A nice pen of their 474 lb Blk Angus h/c today saw 215.00. Brian Foley Jr. with a top pen of 587 lb Blk Angus h/c raced to 206.00. Brian Foley & Louise DeMarni had their 730 lb steers race to 196.00, Their pen of 547 lb Blk & Bwf h/c raced to 211.00. Joe & Terry Baudin from Westwold had 815 lb steers top 181.00, their 675 lb steers powered to 216.00, their 713 lb h/c topped 181.00. Tom & Linda Hancock’s 705 lb Blk Angus h/c to 183.25. Cow/Calf pairs today started off with the incredible herd of Aldergrove Limousin with their cow/calf pairs trading to 2525.00. Pete & June Puhallo saw their cow/calf pairs trade to 2400.00. Roberta Moses saw her cow/calf pairs trade to 2350.00. The Edgar Smith-Beaver Meadow Farms Red angus bred cows saw sales to 1890.00. Extreme Cattle Co.’s 648 lb Blk steers hit 225.00. The 545 lb steers hit 245.00. John & Anne Grawher’s 528 lb Red s/c hit 250.00. The next sale here in Kamloops is Tuesday May 2nd.
