VANDERHOOF SALE FRIDAY MARCH 17

500 head came to town and found solid ground  under most classes of cattle. We lit the fire  with a package of 659 lb Blk s/c from DMS Ranch ( Vander hoof) setting the pace at 178.50, 823 lb steers up to 162.00. More Blk steers  from Carmella Farms (Vanderhoof) weighing 729 lbs sold to 178.50, 823 lb steers up to 162.00. Johnson Farms ( Vanderhoof ) saw their 726 lb heifers mark 153.00. Ernest N Bree had 563 lb s/c bring 212.00, 477 lb s/c traded at 219.00, 374 lb s/c carries on to 227.00. Grass type h/c  from Bree at 414.00 lb notched 186.00. 366 lb h/c hit 192.00. Larry Palmer (Burns Lake) in with a flashy pen of Char X   heifers smashed 178.00, 510 lb heifers all the way to 194.00. Valley Creek Ranch (Houston) had 784 lb steers reach 161.00. 530 lb heifers settled at 162.00. Over 100 butcher cows and 15 butcher bulls  today with the David Reimer Family (Vanderhoof) supplying 1117 lb cows finding value at 94.00. Tanya Belsham (Houston) had 1442 lb Blk cows trade at 93.50. Kochel Cattle & Timber (Vanderhoof) saw their 1334 lb cows bring 92.75. A pair of Blk Kochel bulls averaged 1928 lb and sold to 1080.00. Poole Farms (Vanderhoof) topped the bull trade with a 2360 lb Simmental bull hit the roof at 120.00. Larry Palmer saw his 1950 lb Charolais bull reach 114.00. Mountain View Ranch had a 2015 lb Red bull land on 116.00. The cattle looked great and the sale ran well. Thanks all. Don’t forget the Northern Alliance Bull Sale March 25th. Regular sale March 31st.
