WILLIAMS LAKE SALE -  THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23^RD

 Another record sale here in Williams Lake today as 1600 head of cattle hit the show ring and the quality was incredible. Every buyer chair was filled. Today the C1 Ranch presented 600 top quality cows and calves. Their first liner load of 86 s/c  all Angus and Angus X weighing 696 lbs set the record today at 181.50. The Next liner load , 85 head at 688 lbs raced to 183.00. The heavy boys, the third liner load of 750 lb Angus steers, blew the doors off at 173.00. 44 head of lighter steers 589 lbs saw 194.00. We hit the C1 Ranch heifers and the buyers loved them. 68  head of their 609 lb heifer calves reached 166.00. Their pen of replacement quality heifers weighing 692 lbs traded to 161.50. Mike & Sandra Lepetich show cased another top load of calves with their heavy steers, 28 head weighing 691 lbs raced to 177.50, the lighter 628 lb steerssaw 183.50. Wanding Creek Ranch’s 502 lb grasser steers hit 215.00 and the 630 lb steers rolled to 180.50. Lyle Klein’s 764 lb Angus steers brought 170.00, their 606lb steers reached 186.00. Bell Ranch’s  709 lb Blk heifers sold to 155.00. JRJ Cattle’s 527 lb h/c sold to 179.00, the 435 lb h/c traded to 190.00. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. - Alkali Lake Ranch Division saw their powerful 596 lb Char X steers power to 196.00. The big boys, 649 lbs notched 183.00 and their incredible 559 lb Char h/c topped their weight range for the week at 180.00. Rusty Toew’s set a pace with 568 lb s/c from Quesnel racing to 204.50. 27 head of their 647 lb heifers notched  163.00 the big heifers, 700 lbs today saw 155.00. Far & Away Ranch’s 529 lb  Blk steers hit 206.00.
Scott & Janice Meyer showcased a beautiful pen of bred heifers. Bred Red & Blk Angus, they traded to 2100.00 on the Blk Angus and 2300.00 on the Red Angus. Pelican Lake Ranch sold 1150 lb fancy Blk bred heifers to 2150.00.
