KAMLOOPS SALE, SEPTEMBER 13,2016

Excellent receipts this week here in Kamloops with 1000 head on offer. Very good mix of yearlings and calves today. Butcher bull market today was tested by James Huwer of Lumby with 1945 lb bulls at 115.00. Fraser Ranches with 1995 lb bulls marking 114.00. Bev Baker had 1188 lb cows mark 86.25 with 1218 lb cows at 89.00. Rod Horsley from Falkland put the  fire to our yearling  trade with 928 lb steers  at 156.00 and 860 lb steers at 167.50. Dorn & Elsie Speed from Celista drove the cattle market with 670 lb s/c marking 177.00,a beautiful pen of their 603 lb h/c’S today saw 150.50.
McGillivray Livestock with a top pen of 1176 lb open heifers, they notched 128.00. Lenn & Marvin Tonn from the
Diamond T Ranch in Kelowna saw  their 793 lb steers race to 169.00, their 737 lb heifers hit 162.50. Eric Zeidler’s 846 lb  red steers rolled to 173.25. Bill & Olga Palmer’s 773 lb heifers sold to 156.00. Ken Huxley’s 700 Red s/c brought 171.50. Ryan Elliot’s 726 lb steers sold to 168.50. Louie Katona from Merritt had 513 lb s/c race to 170.00. Harold & Shirley Turner with 825 lb spay heifers, they raced to 154.25. Andy & Simone Hoglund from Vernon saw their 878 lb Black Angus steers march to 168.75. Joan Griffin’s 835 lb Black steers sold to 176.00. Gordon  Haines 904 lb steers traded to 159.00, the 839 lb steers reached  172.25. Terry  Haines 748 lb steers hit 181.50.Larry & Bonnie Spence of Edgewood had 552 lb Char X  s/c sell to 173.00. The big brothers were 648 lb and reached 179.50, their fancy 641 lb Tan h/c reached 149.50. Ron Pilat from Sardis showed a ring full of 898 lb heifers at 148.00. Warren & Trudy Schweb from Salmon Arm showcased a pen of fancy 705 lb s/c hit 171.00. Pat & Susan Brownell from Falkland saw their powerful  538 lb s/c hit 177.50. Deanfield Ranch spay heifers 900 lbs brought 147.00. Wayne Gardner’s 989 lb heifers sold to 140.25, the 916 lb heifers brought 145.50.Well thanks folks for one incredible day of top quality cattle.
