KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY MAY 3RD

Kamloops today another wall of cattle with 700 head on offer.  Today we featured cow/calf pairs with 2 huge dispersals. The Ward Creek Ranch put the fire to our butcher trade.  Their 1330 lb. butcher cows hit 103.00, their 1108 lb. heifers notched 127.50, their heavy 1405 lb. cows raced to 105.00.  Jim Huwer saw their 1775 lb. butcher bulls mark 124.00.  Bill Armstrong today from Salmon Arm with some of the heaviest feeders, their 895 lb. steers hit 156.50, their 760 lb. steers notched 168.75, their 510 lb. s/c hit 232.50.  Aaron Stelkia’s 555 lb.  Angus s/c  sold to 222.00.  Travis Squair’s 1408 lb. butcher cows sold to 101.00.  Squaw Valley Ranch’s 1406 lb. group of kill cows sold to 100.75.  Stone Hill Farm’s 752 lb. Angus heifers hit 175.00, the 611 lb. heifers sold to 182.00.  Sophia Saemerow saw her heavy 1079 lb.  Angus steers top 133.25.  The Maiden Creek Ranch showcased 694 lb. Black Angus steers they traded to 197.00, their pen of 633 lb. steers marked 216.00.  The Coldstream Ranch from Vernon with a liner load of powerful calves.  Their 29 head of 776 lb. steers hit 165.00, their 864 lb. steers saw 155.75.  The cow/calf pairs from Jim & Toni Long from Grand Forks met keen buyer interest.  A beautiful group of their Hereford heifers with calves at foot hit 2325.00, the Red neck 2nd calvers with calves at side topped 2450.00.
