KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY APRIL 19TH

Well another huge sale today in Kamloops as another 900 head  hit the sale ring.  Today was a feature of cow/calf pairs with 130 top prices and they were tops.  Today started with butcher cows and bulls and then rolled right into feeders.  Fred Bowers with big, good Hereford cows 1508 lb. traded to 98.75.  Brandon Abel saw his 1875 lb. butcher bulls mark 126.50.  Neale Ranch from Merritt built the fire under the feeder trade.  10 head of their 612 lb. Angus heifers hit 205.00.  Russel Abel saw their 1305 lb. butcher cows power to 104.00.  Big Rock Farms from Celista topped our bull trade with 2160 lb. butcher bulls marking 132.50.  Vern Moline from Beaverdell had 830 lb. steers mark 166.50.  Bernadine Bykerk had 580 lb. steers race to 225.00.  Ian & Jo Nelson today showcased their replacement breeding heifers, 858 lb. heifers notched 185.00.  The Quesnel Ranch today had 419 lb. s/c top 244.00.  Ray & Joyce Doll from Heffley Creek with a liner load of yearlings today.  Their heavy 704 lb. steers raced to 187.00, their 593 lb. steers notched 217.50, and their 616 lb. Angus heifers sold to 191.00.  Their 500 lb. heifers sold to 210.00.  Fred Bowers showcased a top load of 777 lb. reputation Hereford heifers at 161.00, and the 685 lb. heifers sold to 167.75.  Fraser Ranches of Louis Creek had powerful Black steers trade to 161.00 weighing 841 lbs.  The Salle Ranch today showcased one incredible sale.  Their 753 lb. Red Angus cross heifers notched 181.00.  Their next cut 685 lb. heifers powered to 189.50.  Joe & Terry Baudin saw their top 726 lb. steers trade to 200.00.  Their 605 lb. heifers raced to 178.00.  Jim Knight from Vernon had 770 lb. steers mark 170.00.  The Len & Marvin Tonn cow herd reduction sale saw their top first calvers with fancy Char X calves hit 2600.00, his mature Angus cows with Char X calves reached 2475.00.  Fred Philps sold a beautiful group of Red cows with Red calves which topped 2750.00.  Steve and Pat Langenegger saw their reputation Red Angus cow/calf pairs top 2750.00.  Liz Allen of Rosebank Ranch saw her incredible Red Angus cow/calf pairs hit 3025.00.

MAY 3rd - Huge Cow/Calf Herd Dispersal Sale for Jim & Toni Long of Grand Forks BC.  75 top cows are from 1st calvers with calves at foot right to mature cows with calves at foot.
