VANDERHOOF ALL BREEDS BULL SALE -SAT.  APRIL 9TH

Well we survived Friday’s wind storm in good shape for our 41st Annual Vanderhoof All Breeds Bull Sale.  With 60 bulls on offer we had a good variety of top genetics from 5 different breeds.  With a full house of bidders we let the Charolais breeders start us off.  Seven Quarter Circle Charolais/ Bob & Nikki Miles enjoyed 5300.00 for RRMM RRR CHISUM 9C.  Southside Charolais/Ken Rose had the high seller of the sale, SOUTHSIDE DAHLIA 10C soared to 7500.00.   TK Cattle Company/Tate & Kolby Page watched TKCC BILLABONG 13B march to the tune of 5500.00.  All together the Chaolais average was 4990.00 on 7 bulls.  We then moved on to the Simmental bulls with Crosby Cattle/Ron & Lois Crosby selling XBAR BLACK WALLBANGER 34C for 4000.00.  Lorne Webster fetched 3700.00 for LGW RED LABEL 4C.  3M Simmental/Monte & Darlene Furber saw THREE M RED BARON 40B and THREE M COLBY 48C bring 3500.00 each.  All together Simmentals averaged 3640.00 on 5 bulls.  Next we fired up the Herefords with Richardson Ranch/Don & Leslie Richardson TLELL 0219 CATTLE BARON ET 23C AND TLELL 0219 CARD SHARK ET 27C tied for 5500.00.  Coper-T Ranch/Trevor & Janice Tapp brought COPPER-T 42X 37Z BOREALIS 8B who sold for 6500.00.  All together the Herefords averaged 4990.00 on 8 bulls.  To close the sale we had an assortment of Red & Black Angus bulls. As a first time contributor, Dragon View Angus/Robyn Burt showed her black DRAGON VIEW WOLF 2C edging 3500.00.  Ludwig Farms/Frank and Miriam Ludwig found their top black bull to be SKARA BRAE IMAGE MAKER 27C at 5200.00.  Quick Haven Angus/Gary & Judy Meerdink had QUICK HAVEN ICE BRAKER 5C and QUICK HAVEN JACK 25C each notching 3500.00.  Day-LiteAngus/David and Keith Wruth saw their DAY-LITE CROSS 6B Black bull sell for 4750.00.  Black Angus Averaged 3950.00 on 10 bulls.  For Red Angus bulls we had Broken Saw Farms/Terry Dancey here for her first time, RED BROKEN SAW BARN DANCE 3C earned her 3500.00.  Quick Haven Angus had RED QUICK HAVEN MAX 30C bring 3500.00.  Meints Cattle Co/ Andy & Jan Meints welcomed 4000.00 for RED MEINTS JONAH while Henry & Bonnie Meints cheered RED CRUZE REO all the way to 4200.00.  Matt’s Red Angus/Matt Taylor sold RED MATT’S KINGMAN 24C for 3900.00.  North 40 Red Angus/Mike & Brenda Wheeler watched RED NORTH 40 OLY’S CHOICE 84C and RED NORTH 40 OLY’S CALYPSO 85C tied up at 6100.00 per bull.  Altogether Red Angus averaged 4030.00 on 17 bulls.  17 bulls.  It is great to see newcomers to the purebred industry along with our long time supporters of the All Breeds sale, thanks again to the contributors, buyers and crew for yet another successful Vanderhoof All Breeds Bull Sale.  New regular sale April 22nd, with two regular sales in May.
