KAMLOOPS SALE SEPTEMBER 22, 2015

Another exciting sale here in Kamloops as 900 head of cattle hit the sale ring.  Every buyer chair in the place was filled today.  Glen Frankie from Beaverdell set the pace in the butcher trade with 1522 lb. butcher cows marking 133.25.  Joe Wadlegger set a trend with 1345 lb. butcher cows racing to 128.50, and 1210 lb. cows to 136.50.  The Hat Creek Ranch today showcased one incredible load of open yearling heifers.  Their 860 lb. Black baldie heifers raced to 236.00.  The heavy 904 lb. heifers powered to 229.50.  Brian Patterson had 768 lb. steers mark 268.00.  Ron Eden from 70 Mile House set the trade on the steers and with 982 lb. steers walking to 227.25.  19 head of his 862 lb. steers notched 253.00 with his 808 lb. steers at 262.50.  Kevin Laitinen from Salmon arm put the action into our calf trade with 580 lb. Black Angus s/c marking 289.00.  Dorn & Elsie Speed saw their 690 lb. Red x s/c hit 256.00, their 678 lb. h/c traded to 244.50.  Robert & Arlene Smith had a top group of 650 lb. Black s/c sell to 265.00, their 674 lb. Black h/c reached 242.25, and their 614 lb. h/c sold to 260.50.   Gord & ChrisHudson’s solid 638 lb. Red X s/c brought 275.00, their 531 lb. s/c sold to 296.50, and the 538 lb. h/c sold to 281.00.  Mary Curnow had 736 lb. Simm x s/c trade to 247.50.  Keith & Penny Prigmore had a group of 640 lb. Red X s/c hit 269.75 and their 573 lb. h/c hit 289.00.  Ian & Jo Nelson showcased 716 lb. Simm /Red Angus cross s/c notching 263.75, the big pen of 642 lb. s/c marked 274.75, their 550 lb. s/c saw 294.25.  Ann Armann from the Circle H Ranch from Lone Butte had a pen of 933 lb. steers trade to 243.25, her 400 lb. s/c raced to 377.50.  Ann dispersed  a few of her top bred cows today, all Black Angus Bred Black Angus, they sold up to 2475.00 per head.  A beautiful pen of her 1st calf heifers bred Black Angus traded to 2560.00 per head.  Jack Regan’s Angus bred heifers topped 2475.00 and W.A. Janssens Ranch’s from Clinton had Red Angus cows topped 2475.00, and their 559 lb. s/c top 294.00 with a powerful 581 lb. s/c notching 287.00, their 548 lb. h/c’s saw 278.50.  Frog Hollow Ranch’s 533 lb. Black s/c hit 299.00. 

Next week a good one—1000 head listed now.  Lots of calves but also several loads of yearlings and a good run of butcher cows and bulls.
