Kamloops Sale - Tuesday, May 12, 2015



KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY MAY 12TH

In Kamloops on Tuesday May 12th 404 head of cattle and calves traded through the ring today.  Butcher cows opened the sale stronger with Benedict Ranch’s 1400 lb. cows trading to 143.75.  Chutter Ranch’s 1361 lb. Red cows rolled to 143.00, the 1007 lb. heiferettes sold to 191.00.  Fred Bowers 1474 lb. Hereford butcher cows sold to 140.50, his 2150 lb. butcher bull topped 173.50.  Trace Deboer’s 1330 lb. cows hit 146.00, while his 1165 lb. feeder cows rolled to 165.00.  Ned Wiltsie of McBride had 1450 lb. cows reach 141.50.  Bernie and Robin Graffunder’s 1575 lb. cows topped the day at 146.00.  Steve Langenegger’s 2225 lb. Red bull hit 175.75.  Haley Rutherford’s young cows weighed 1009 lb. and brought 191.00.  Chutter Ranch’s 867 lb. steers sold to 231.00 while Ned Wiltsie’s 703 lb. steers hit 277.50, the 535 lb. s/c rolled to 340.00.  Lenora Stauffer of Grand Forks had 332 lb. s/c top 350.00, the 400 lb. s/c sold at 342.50.  Sandborn Lake Ranch’s 730 lb. steers hit 280.00.  Fennell Ranch’s were in with their 390 lb. s/c selling to 349.00, and 440 lb. h/c brought 309.00 and the 327 lb. h/c high marked 327 lb.  Deanfield Ranch showcased a reputation group of 669 lb. Hereford steers at 309.50, the 708 lb. steers sold to 286.00 and Gowan’s 685 lb. heifers sold to 264.00.
