Again another exciting sale here in Kamloops as 700 head of cattle were sold. This sale was a good mix of bred cows, bred heifers and regular cattle. Butcher cows opened strong, Forest Lakewood from Parksville BC saw their 1192 lb young butcher cows trade to 140.00, their heavy 1478 lb butcher cows marked 138.00. Enid Horn’s 1580 lb butcher cows marked 135.00 and 1520 lb cows at 136.75. Marvin & Len Tonn built the fire under the calf trade their fancy 13 s/c’s, 509 lb healthy and good, traded to 327.00, their 424 lb s/c’s marked 337.00. Don & Diana Heighes saw their 865 lb steers mark 219.00, their 693 lb black angus heifers notched 238.00. Doug Bailey had 495 lb s/c’s from Pritchard trade to 329.00, their 568 lb h/c’s hit 264.00. Robin Schilling had 761 lb s/c’s at 239.00. David Cunningham from 70 Mile House had 680 lb black angus s/c’s trade to 259.50. Mountain Charolais from Pemberton had 525 lb char h/c’s trade to 262.00. Fred & Maureen Ziemer had 620 lb h/c’s race to 228.00. Brian & Kim Stuart saw their 597 lb blk & bwf s/c’s notch 283.75, their 514 lb s/c’s hit 321.50. Dirk & Diane Vandermeer’s 460 lb black h/c’s topped 290.00. Louie Katona had 622 lb s/c’s at 272.75 and 608 lb h/c’s at 253.00. The Bred Cows and Bred Heifers sold to a packed house full of buyers impressed with the quality on offer. Finlay Farms showcased their powerful red angus Bred Heifers which sold to 2750.00, their fancy Hereford Bred Heifers sold to 2800.00. Jason & Janna Quesnel from Lumby showcased a top pen of black angus 1st calvers, they hit 2475.00. Mel & Vicki Hough showcased 7 beautiful black angus Bred Heifers they traded to 2800.00. 2H Farms of Pritchard had 3rd calvers hit 2600.00, the mature black cows topped 2400.00. Doug Lansdall had a top pen of charolais Bred Cows trade to 2525.00. Chutter Ranch saw their 2nd calvers sell to 2500.00, the 3rd calvers brought 2600.00
