KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY DEC 2ND
Well again huge receipts for this time of year as 850 head of cattle hit the sale ring for the 1st sale in December. The Nicola Ranch put the fire to our butcher trade with 2015 lb butcher bulls marking 140.00. Dan Summers set the pace for butcher cows with 1855 lb cows from Barriere trading to 124.50. The Rey Creek Ranch had a group of 20 head of 950 lb feeder heifers that marked 212.00. The Shulus Cattle Co. put the action to our calf trade with heavy 675 lb black angus s/c’s marking 250.00. Bob & Dianna Pasco showcased heavy 802 lb black & bwf s/c’s, some of the heaviest in the sale, they reached to 232.00, $1860.64 each. 20 head of their 693 lb s/c’s marked 249.25. A group of 9 head of their 601 lb h/c’s notched 248.50. Gerd & Pat Dessau presented heavy 773 lb red blaze face s/c’s that raced to 236.00 or $1824.28 each. Their 640 lb s/c’s notched 260.25. their 624 lb replacement quality h/c’s powered to 239.25. The Ashcroft Ranch today set a pace on a liner load of tremendous calves. 21 head of their heavy 705 lb angus cross s/c’s marked 249.75. 25 head of their 617 lb s/c’s notched 265.00, their 554 lb s/c’s hit 284.50 and their 546 lb black baldy h/c’s reached 258.00. Ed & Donna Salle of Salle Ranch saw their 627 lb red s/c’s hit 264.50, the 690 lb s/c’s brought 251.25, and the 531 lb s/c’s reached 284.50. Frank Riley from Celista had a top pen of heavy 708 lb black angus s/c’s sell to 247.50. Dan Gagne from Grinrod had 660 lb s/c’s power to 243.00. Jim Carroll saw their 563 lb black angus s/c’s notch 270.00. The Garden Creek Ranch had 514 lb black baldie h/c’s hit 262.00. Greg Nyman from Clinton had heavy 765 lb black angus s/c’s power to 234.50. A sincere thank you to all our bidders and buyers and contributors!
