KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY OCT. 21st

Huge receipts today in Kamloops as  2400 head of cattle hit the sale ring.  Quality today was 1st class start to finish.  The BC Angus Association Fieldman Jack Brown today  offered a door prize, a beautiful jacket to one of the Angus contributors.  Bruce Gallot had 1420 lb. butcher cows to 119.75.  The Estate of Forest Walkem had 1850 lb. butcher bulls mark 147.50 and 1570 lb. cows at 121.75.  The Ryan Creek Farms from Pemberton saw their heavy 805 lb. Angus s/c trade to 238.50, their pen of 694 lb. s/c notched 248.25.  Jack & Marie Ronayne of Pemberton saw their big strong 753 lb. Black steers hit 243.00, their 650 lb. s/c rolled to 256.50.  Ralph & Irene Thomsen saw their reputation yearlings sell to 230.75 at 870 lbs.   Their 907 lb. Hereford heifers reached 202.50.  Tom & Linda Hancock’s 455 lb. Black s/c topped 297.50, their 500 lb. h/c sold to 252.00.  John McMahon’s 626 lb. Sim X s/c notched 262.00.  Terry Inskip put a pen of 764 lb. Hereford heifers in the ring 225.50.  Ed & Sarah Shook had heavy fancy 680 lb. replacement quality Black Angus h/c’s march to 244.50.  Dennis & Debbie Keeping saw their 772 lb. Red Angus h/c’s reach 218.00.  Jason & Susan McGillivray saw their incredible 686 lb. Black Angus s/c power to 254.75, the 625 lb. s/c marked 260.75.  Louise  Demarni and Brian Foley’s 660 lb. s/c sold to 255.00, their fancy 555 lb. Black s/c sold to 268.25.  John & Marion and Allan Rauch of Merritt saw their incredible 640 lb. Black s/c hit 269.75, their load of 600 lb. Black h/c topped 246.50, the 535 lb. h/c rolled to 254.75.  Harold & ChristyHough of Ingram Creek Farm had a load of 761 lb.   s/c hit 248.50, their 600 lb. s/c rolled to 265.00, their 764 lb. heifers brought 221.00.  Sierra Simmentals 630 lb. Sim s/c hit 259.25.  The Rex Peak Ranch 632 lb. Bwf s/c marked 261.75.  Bob & Barb Harrison filled the ring with 753 lb. Char cross s/c they traded to 244.00, their 63 lb. Char X h/c’s hit 255.00.  Jim & Pat Mullin showcased 200 powerful calves today.  33 head of their 473 lb. s/c hit 281.25.  56 head of their 546 lb. s/c notched 264.75, their 403 lb. s/c saw 321.50, their big pen of 41 h/c 461 lb. traded to 258.50.  Don & Linda Lougheed had 600 lb. Bwf & Black s/c mark 265.00.  The Old Roperfield Ranch / Sam & SuzanneStrande saw their 600 lb. Hereford s/c mark 261.00, their 500 lb. h/c’s saw 257.50.
