WILLIAMS LAKE—SEPTEMBER 18TH

Well the place to sell cattle today was Williams Lake as another huge sale of 1480 head of cattle hit the ring.    The  Douglas Lake Cattle Co. Alkali LakeRanch  Division started this incredible sale filling the ring with 53 head of 469 lb. steer calves topping our trade at 297.00,  their pen of 560 lb. Angus cross s/c marked 269.75.  21 head of their 430 lb. s/c notched 312.50.  Jim & Catherine McKenzie saw their heavy 608 lb. s/c mark 264.50, the heavy s/c 718 lb.  saw 246.00.  The Hendricks Ranch saw their 360 lb. s/c mark 340.00 with the 490 lb. s/c topping 296.50.  The Drew Burke calves set a pace as their 630 lb. s/c notched 264.50, their 544 lb. s/c marked 286.00.  Jim Roberts with heavy 730 lb. Char X s/c at 241 .50.  Bob & Nicki had a top sale today as Seven Quarter Circle Charolais saw their 460 lb. Char s/c marking 300.00.  Hur Ranch’s fancy 428 lb. featherneck Hereford s/c hit 313.50.  Martin & Mary Rossman’s 484 lb. limo s/c hit 296.00, the 322 lb. s/c topped 347.50, their 400 lb. h/c sold to 309.50.  Kurt and Eric Rossman’s 467 lb. Limo X s/c sold to 302.00.  The Sand Creek Ranch, Walt & Carol Foster presented a top pen of 390 lb. s/c topping 360.00.  Their 446 lb. s/c saw 310.00, the 471 lb. s/c hit 300.00, their 412 lb. fancy h/c topped our trade at 320.00.  Hubert McKee from Quesnel had 320 lb. Angus s/c mark 391.00.  Mike & Emile Bouchard saw their powerful 514 lb. cross bred s/c mark 285.50, their powerful 514 lb. cross bred s/c mark 285.00, the big boys 550 lb. raced to 284.50, their fancy 513 lb. h/c’s raced to 265.00.  Fred & Janice Magnuson saw their powerful Sim X 570 lb. s/c notch 281.50, their big steers 849 lb. powered to 231.75. Some incredible yearlings today.  Gang Ranch’s load of 906 lb. Black Angus heifers hit 204.00, the 835 lb. heifers rolled to 216.25.  Mike & Lindy Gilson showcased over 300 yearlings today.  Their load of 675 lb. Angus steers hit 252.50, the 804 lb. steers rolled to 247.25, the 685 lb. heifers sold to 234.75. 

Next week the huge calf sales begin the first Wed. Oct.1 Wilf & Wade have 2000 calves listed.
