The numbers just keep rolling in. Today another block buster sale of 800 head of cattle. Linda Allison put the power to our butcher trade with 2270 lb. butcher bulls at 126.00. Raphael Horsch & Janet Young had 1213 lb. butcher cows to 99.00 and young 1070 lb. cows to 106.50. Ruby Bey had 1420 lb. butcher cows race to 102.75. Norman Breen from Princeton also had 2465 lb. bulls at 126.00. Russ Headington from Lumby set the pace for the whole day as they showcased 15 steers 592 lb. at 230.00. 7 head of their 489 lb. s/c marked 237.00. Bernadine Bykerk from Salmon Arm had 625 lb. steers mark 224.00, which was 1400.00. The Pooley Ranch had 618 lb. h/c’s mark 190.00 with 490 lb. h/c’s to 207.00. The Squaw Valley Ranch from Lumby with well over 100 powerful calves. The first pen of 15 steers 731 lb. raced to 199.75. 27 head of their 653 lb. steers powered to 224.00, their 675 lb. replacement heifers hit 197.50. Coldstream Ranch sold a top group of 702 lb. steers at 201.00, the 555 lb. steers sold to 232.50, the 480 lb. steers hit 239.00, while the 586 lb. heifers sold to 204.25. Dave Allingham’s 780 lb. steers reached 189.00, his 570 lb. steers topped 225.00, his 451 lb. steers reached 240.00, 648 lb. heifers hit 190.00. Phil & Bev Baker from Sorrento set a pace on the heavy cattle. Their 981 lb. steers marked 153.00, their 950 lb. Red baldie heifers raced to 144.00, their 848 lb. heifers met 160.50. The Rob Kuiper Ranch showcased a beautiful pen of replacement quality heifers from Merritt. Their 713 lb. Black Angus heifers met 185.00, their 648 lb. heifers notched 198.00. Ryan Elliot from Rock Creek had cow/calf pairs trade to 1960.00 per pair. John & Anne Grawehr had an excellent pen of 473 lb. Red & Red baldie s/c trade to 245.50, their 503 lb. h/c’s notched 216.00. Wild Rose Ranch had a rippin sale. Their 419 lb. Angus s/c hit 241.00, the 518 lb. s/c reached 235.00 and the 450 lb. heifers brought 223.50. Benedict Ranch’s 536 lb. Angus steers rolled to 234.25. Fennell Ranches today powered to 237.00 on s/c that weighed 527 lb., their 443 lb. s/c marked 224.50. Ringdal Farms 624 lb. Hereford heifers from Armstrong met keen buyer interest with sales to 193.00.
