Every buyer chair was filled again today as a huge sale of 1000 head of cattle were showcased. The Bar F Ranch put the fire to our bull trade with 1920 lb. bulls marking 83.25. The Seven O Ranch 1540 lb. cows notching 72.75. The Frolek Cattle Co. set the pace on the yearlings with 909 lb. Hereford & Black baldie steers notching 143.75. 21 head of their 865 lb. heifers raced to 131.75. Well the calves today were incredible quality and the buyers loved them. Jack Livingston Ranch calves from Little Fort saw their heavy 671 lb. Red & RBF s/c notch 149.25. Their 635 lb. h/c’s marking 142.50. Don &Diana Heighs had 625 lb. Black Angus s/c power to 153.25. The Ward Creek Ranch had the largest group of calves. Their powerful Limo/Red Angus cross s/c 665 lb. marked 155.00. 28 head of their 590 lb. s/c raced to 160.75 with 482 lb. s/c at 174.50, their 573 lb. h/c met 146.25. Steve & GloriaLehman with heavy 750 lb. Char s/c trading to 143.00. Donna Pawloff’s 754 lb. Tan s/c reached 142.50, while G D Roberson had 458 lb. Angus s/c high mark 184.00. Dennis and Fiona Ryan had 612 lb. Black s/c top 158.00, their 495 lb. s/c brought 170.00. Ogilvie Stock Farms came to town with a powerful string of Hereford calves. Their 638 lb. s/c sold to 152.25, the 577 lb. s/c reached 156.00. Larry & Elaine Dee’s 593 lb. Blk h/c’s topped 144.25. Keith & Penny Prigmore from Celista with some of the heaviest calves. Their 700 lb. weight Red Blaze face s/c traded to 149.00. Don & LindaLougheed blew the doors off today with a top set of Angus calves, their 517 lb. Black & Bwf s/c hit 173.00 and their 552 lb. h/c marked 149.75. Fred Woodman from Merritt had heavy 675 lb. s/c top 149.50.
