KAMLOOPS SALE - TUESDAY AUGUST 13TH

Another huge sale in Kamloops as over 500 head of cattle were showcased! Yearlings by far made up the bulk of the sales receipts although butcher cows & bulls were also plentiful. The Chutter Ranch built a fire under the butcher trade their 1998 lb butcher bulls sparked 89.00. Sugar Loaf Ranches set the pace for our butcher trade with 1815 lb bulls notching  93.00. Feeder cattle from Ted Fowler blew the doors off with an excellent pen of 759 lb heifers with 11 head in the group topping 138.75 and 764 lb heifers to 139.25. The Phillip Ranches today showcased one of the best sets of steers in the sale with 25 head of their 1097 lb steers walking to 128.50 & their 1010 lb steers marked 136.00, the 948 lb steers saw 136.75. Luke Ward had 707 lb heifers power to 131.50. Merv Smith from Vernon saw his 913 lb Hereford heifers fancy & good trade to 126.50, their 867 lb heifers notched 133.50.

Martin Lechleitner from Campbell Range saw his 905 lb blk & red  heifers trade to 130.00. Ken & Linda Allison saw their 801 lb steers from Clinton trade to 146.75 and a pen of their 767 lb steers notched 149.75. Their 635 lb steers saw 157.00. Ken Marsh saw his 768 lb black steers hit 152.00. Semlin Ranch had 860 lb Mt. Billiard steers hit 124.00. Leroy Peters 912 lb steers hit 137.00. Ed Gardner from Red Lake saw his powerful liner load of 915 heifers spayed & good , 47 head of reds & blks. trade to 132.25. Mike Kosick from Kelowna saw his 670 lb heifers trade to 140.00. Steve& Linda Shannon with some of the heaviest steers in the sale their 1187 lb black Angus steers met 118.75.

Next week sale is set to be HUGE!! Tom already has 800 yearlings listed for this exciting sale . It will be a good one with some butcher cows and bulls plus some good calves will also be on offer.
