Kamloops again this week saw huge numbers with over 1600 head on offer. Calves by far dominated the sale receipts, but a good supply of yearlings were also available. Brian Yamelst from Spences Bridge had 815 lb. Hereford steers top 133.75. Lauder Ranches young 1127 lb. butcher cows reached 68.75. Art & Audrey Vanderhoek from Salmon Arm with heavy 815 lb. Hereford s/c topping 127.00. Trace DeBoer of Bar M Ranch had a load of 578 lb. Black s/c hit 147.50, the 671 lb. s/c rolled to 140.00. Wayne & Jackie Vansickle’s powerful Black 724 lb. s/c hit 135.00, the 667 lb. s/c hit 139.00, the 668 lb. h/c traded to 129.00. Larry Jacobsen from Clinton with 593 lb. s/c trading to 141.75 and 459 lb. s/c powered to 163.25. R. Devick & Sons / Ken & Terry showcased a beautiful pen of calves this week. Their 600 lb. Black & Bwf s/c raced to 147.25, the heavy 687 lb. s/c saw 137.75, their 477 lb. s/c marked 166.25. A pen of their 540 lb. h/c tipped 138.75. Mel & Vicki Hough of Falkland showcased their 691 lb. Black s/c at 138.50. Keith Cunningham’s Red baldy 660 lb. s/c hit 138.75, the 640 lb. h/c rolled to 131.25. Ron Eden’s 521 lb. Angus s/c hit 155.00. Sugarloaf Ranch’s 624 lb. s/c hit 142.00, the 534 lb. s/c topped the day at 150.25, and a load of the fancy 544 lb. featherneck Hereford s/c brought 148.00, their 562 lb. British h/c hit 137.00. The Rex Peak Ranch today saw their big 670 lb. Hereford s/c top 135.50, their 656 lb. Black & Bwf s/c marked 139.00, their 545 lb. Black Angus s/c hit 149.00. Bill & Henry Klop set this sale on fire. Their 39 head of 500 lb. s/c Reds & Blacks traded to 158.50, the heavy 624 lb. s/c set a mark of 142.50. Seven O Ranches liner load of 590 lb. Angus s/c topped 149.00, the 600 lb. Char X s/c reached 148.25, the 487 lb. s/c hit 163.75. Ian & Brenda Jones saw their heavy 631 lb. Black & Bwf s/c march to 141.75, their 556 lb. s/c hit 149.00. The SundownRanch 758 lb. s/c traded to 132.50 with 705 lb. s/c reaching 135.25. The Frolek Cattle Co. saw their heavy 1041 lb. steers trade to 117.25.
