The numbers are pouring in now as we saw over 1100 head on Tuesday. Calves were by far the biggest number and quality was first class, start to finish. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. were the price trend setters for one incredible group of Char x calves. The first liner load of 591 lb Char Cross x s/c hit a record 420.00, the pen of s/c just under 500 lb hit 480.00. Onto the fancy Black Angus calves, their 560 lb Blk s/c hit a record 418.00. The ring was filled with 93 hd of Char x h/c weighing 554 that rolled to 390.00. The High Bar Ranch came to town with heavy powerful calves, their 700 lb Blk Angus s/c reached 361.00, while their pen of 662 lb s/c saw 375.00 and a beautiful pen of their 578 lb h/c raced to 346.50. Quesnel Ranch saw their 532 lb h/c reach 337.50. Gord & Chris Hudson saw their 636 lb fancy Simm x h/c sell to 339.00. and the 534 lb h/c hit 350.00. Ed Roberson’s 917 lb Char strs sold for 317.00 and the big boys weighed 1022 lb brought 311.00. Rafi Horsch & Janet Young had 608 Angus x s/c that sold to 373.00. Harley Jette’s top 584 lb s/c brought 390.00, while the 505 lb s/c sold to 415.00 and a fancy group of 493 lb h/c brought 356.00. Larry & Bonnie Spence of Edgewood saw their 738 lb s/c top the day at 370.00 and their 585 lb h/c reached 340.00. Dalgleish Ranching had 493 lb Blk s/c bring 422.50. Archie McLean from Dunster came to town with fancy 500 lb h/c setting in at 360.00. The Wayhome Ranch had 623 lb Char s/c raced to 408.00, then they filled the ring with 572 lb Char x h/c that set the trend at 361.00. Walter Bopfinger from Lumby saw his ring full of fancy 585 Char x h/c trade to 358.00. Duut Management from Bridge Lake had 100 top calves, 19 of their 558 lb Blk Angus x s/c hit 404.00 and then 16 of their 487 lb Angus Cross s/c set the record at 440.00. Cooper Russel’s 521 lb s/c rolled to 410.00, his fancy 483 Blk Angus s/c reached 445.00, and the 531 lb h/c sold to 359.00 A light volume of Butcher cows and bulls saw full steady sales. Larry & Bonnie Spence’s 1600 lb Red x cows reached 183.00. KT Ranch’s 1500 lb kill cows brought 184.00. Linda Pawloff’s 1690 lb Red cows hit 183.00. Travis Seaman had the top selling butcher bull at 207.00 weighing in at 2225 lbs. Another powerful sale with every buyer’s chair filled with loads of action.
