Kamloops Sale - Tuesday, Sep 24, 2024



Bigger numbers of cattle this week here in Kamloops as we saw almost 700 hd in the sale. Yearlings were a large part of our sale with over 350 hd on offer. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. were the yearling price leaders with a liner load of powerful Hereford hfrs. They had 57 hd of 927 lb hfrs set in at 307.00, their load of 871 lb Hereford hfrs raced to 316.00 and the load of BBF 922 lb hfrs brought 311.75. The Whistle Pig Ranch had an awesome group of 606 lb Angus x s/c marking 381.00 and their 547 lb s/c hit 400.00. The Moulton Creek Ranch saw their fancy 600 lb Angus x s/c reach 390.00, the 618 lb h/c marked 344.00 and a ring full of 551 lb h/c recorded 363.00. Don & Dianna Heighes had heavy 738 lb strs hit 337.00. Chris & Gord Hudson came to town with some of the heaviest s/c in the sale at 702 lb Simm/Angus x that raced to 364.75, their 636 lb s/c hit 379.50. Gary Cleveland brought some 576 lb Angus s/c notching 393.00. John & Cathy Bakker had 678 lb Blk Angus s/c marking 365.00 and their fancy 636 lb Blk Angus h/c raced to 339.00. The Kitzel Cattle Co. from Pritchard had one powerful load of calves. Their 700 lb Simm x s/c hit 365.00, their 622 lb s/c set in at 380.00. Clint Quesnel of Quesnel Ranch in Lumby saw his 743 lb strs hit 350.00 and the 645 lb yearling strs brought 360.00. Brandon Lazar had 801 lb Simm x hfrs sell to 294.00. Dave Deuling’s 950 lb Blk strs sold to 310.00. Bar L Ranch had 614 lb Blk Angus s/c sell to 360.00, the 514 lb s/c brought 370.00, the 488 lb s/c hit 392.00 and their fancy 503 lb h/c sold to 353.00. Los Quatros Ranch had 488 lb s/c reach 407.50 and their 400 lb Tan h/c hit 397.00. Don Millard of Pemberton Meadows Natural Beef had 1013 lb strs sell to 303.00, the 790 lb strs brought 320.00 and their fancy group of 853 lb Blk Angus hfrs sold to 300.00. Laurie Haller from Armstrong had excellent heavy 676 lb s/c sell for 370.00 and her 574 lb h/c roll to 344.00. Ron & Andrea Hall saw their heavy Gelbvieh x 685 lb s/c top 368.50. Dave Deuling also had a 2335 lb Butcher Bull that sold to 201.00. Dave Kidson saw his 1930 lb Butcher bulls reach 207.00. Mike Lepkewich had 1590 lb Butcher cows top 185.00. Again a fast paced sale with a ring full of buyers, bidding fast for the top quality cattle. Next week we have 600 hd listed so far.
