All classes of cattle were offered and met a strong market, in particular, slaughter cows and bulls. C&V Contracting from Fraser Lake featured Red bull calves that weighed 270 lbs and brought 565.00. Walt Dettwiler had hfrs at 877 lbs rocket to 320.00. Dieleman Ranch from Telkwa sold Exotic x s/c weighing 425 lbs for 493.00, h/c at 440 lbs were 470.00 and some 1528 lb slaughter cows reached 186.00. Harry and Jean Dykstra blew the doors off the place with a sort of 1716 lb cows that climbed to 188.50. Andrea and Thilo Elste saw their 561 lb Red s/c command 410.00. Kerr Cattle Co. had two liner loads of yearlings in, a load of 914 lb strs did not stop till 325.00 and strs at 807 lbs forced 345.00. On the hfr side, 776 lbs were 331.00 and the 680 lb hfrs reached 340.00. Andy Meints Contracting had 1533 lb cows hit 187.75 and a 2335 lb Red bull made it to 215.00. Pooles Arrow Ranch topped the bull market with a pair of 2265 lb Simm bulls for 224.00. Ralph Hopkins sold RBF s/c at 460 lbs for 472.50, slaughter cows at 1705 lbs were 186.00 and a Char bull that weighed 2160 lbs hit 217.00. Brendon Rathwell had some young RBF cows at 1306 lbs sell for 206.00. Rose Ranch topped the cow trade with a Char cow at 1425 lbs at 194.50. Rocco Tiani had Simm x strs at 713 lbs sell for 372.00 and 538 lb strs made it to 410.00, the hfrs at 694 lbs were 324.00 and 562 lb hfrs were 351.00. Heath Walton had Blk cows at 1393 lbs for 185.50. Ron and Lois Crosby sold Simm cows at 1593 lbs for 188.00. Jay McKee had 1635 lb cows bring 187.00. Doreen Frost had a 2005 lb Limo bull climb to 220.00 and Doug Hobenshield had the biggest bull of the day with a Red bull at 2505 lbs settling at 202.00.
