Welcome to 2024 in Kamloops. It was another excellent sale to the start of a New Year. Calves made up well over half the sale today. Ken MacDougall started the race with top Gelbvieh x hfrs that weighed 745 lb and topped 289.00. Fred Bowers had 127 hd of powerful Hereford/Red Angus x strs and hfrs, his 764 lb strs hit 330.00, then 44 hd of the 666 lb strs brought 348.00 and 23 hd of the 676 lb RBF hfrs rolled to 315.00. Earl Joe came to town with 573 lb Angus h/c racing to 325.00. Joyce Doll had a fancy group of 451 lb Angus x h/c sell to 337.00, her 490 lb s/c reached 390.00 and the 380 lb s/c topped 425.00. Ted, Sue & Alex Scott had a top group of 1522 lb Char Butcher cows hit 137.00, their liner load of 1384 lb Angus x Butcher cows reached 131.75 and the 1048 lb hfrts sold to 252.00. Fred Bowers also had 1519 lb kill cows sell to 134.25. Shaker Acres saw their 1880 lb Blk cow sell to 137.00. The Blue Goose Cattle Co. had 1009 lb 2 yr old hfrs sell to 251.00 and the 1986 lb Butcher bulls bring 147.75. Dean & Brenda Maxwell’s 1910 lb Blk Butcher bull sold to 149.00.  The Wabnegger Ranch saw their 1150 lb young Butcher cows top 150.00. Jerry Cooper saw his 2355 lb top bull roll to 151.00.
