Over 2000 head of cattle were sold through the ring in Vanderhoof on Friday, with replacement heifers featured. There was strong demand for all classes of cattle. Keith and Alexis Hart led off the sale with 789 lb strs that climbed to 290.00 and the lighter strs at 641 lbs soared to 331.00. The hfrs at 664 lbs were 289.00 and some 546 lb hfrs made it to 316.00. Philip Long presented fancy Red hfrs at 698 lbs that rocketed to 295.00 and the big sisters at 764 lbs cracked 270.00. Charles Aebischer had solid Exotic x strs at 810 lbs hit 285.00. Jason Beier sold some top grass cattle, strs at 645 lbs were 326.00 and strs at 544 lbs marched to 355.00 some hfrs at 608 lbs saw 306.00 and the 531 lb hfrs were 327.00. Ernest Bree from Telkwa sold 602 lb strs that reached 341.00 and strs at 523 lbs blazed up to 361.00 and some hfrs at 444 lbs caught 292.50. Joyce and Gordie Dickson had some flashy hfrs, Reds and RBF at 779 lbs rang the bell at 272.00 and the 719 lb hfrs were 280.00 and some 676 lb hfrs touched 308.00. Harry and Jean Dykstra had fancy Blk hfrs at 849 lbs catch 255.00 and some 715 lb hfrs made it to 279.00. Gerrit Keegstra featured a sort of Simm hfrs that commanded 240.00. HRH Ranch Ventures saw their good Exotic x hfrs at 701 lbs climb to 291.00 and the sort at 643 lbs hit 296.00. Josh Isaac’s Blk hfrs at 778 lbs raced to 282.00 and the 688 lb hfrs cracked 301.00. Dallas Kerr and Laine Cotton brought some of their good cattle from Telkwa, the 768 lb Red and RBF strs marched to 292.00, 664 lb strs caught 333.00 and 548 lb grass strs raced to 372.00 some hfrs at 576 lbs reached 300.00 and the 539 lb hfrs were all the way up to 310.00. Stanislaw Kocaj featured 738 lb Red hfrs that settled at 280.00. Clint Lambert from Burns Lake sold 774 lb strs for 290.00 and 668 lb strs shot up to 338.00 the hfrs at 733 lbs were 280.00, 724 lb BBF hfrs caught 290.50 and a sort of Red hfrs at 720 lbs all the way up to 294.00. Little Valley Farms had almost 170 head in, strs at 659 lbs were 328.00, 550 lb strs hit 363.75 and some 442 lb strs got all the way up to 370.00, the Blk hfrs at 660 lbs smashed through to 301.00 and a sort of 73 head of 568 lb hfrs set the record at 344.50. Andy Meints Contracting presented big strings of cattle, 851 lb strs rocked to 275.00 and 63 head of 787 lb strs powered to 286.25, the hfrs at 706 lbs rose to 281.00, 609 lb hfrs touched 300.00 and 554 lb hfrs made it to 307.50. V Bar Farms sold fancy Blk hfrs at 613 lbs for 315.00. Pooles Arrow Ranch treated us to 849 lb strs for 280.00, 646 lb strs caught 335.00 and 556 lb strs scorched up to 369.00, the replacement Simm hfrs at 743 lbs rolled to 281.00, 707 lb hfrs stopped at 278.50 and 570 lb hfrs streaked to 340.00, some heiferettes at 1138 lbs returned 170.00 and some 1594 lb cows sold for 132.50. Brendon Rathwell had 620 lb strs bring 342.00 and some 556 lb strs soared to 370.00. Ian and Annie Van Metre sold 859 lb strs for 

267.00 some 737 lb strs made it to 290.00 and hfrs at 677 lbs saw 297.00 and the 568 lb hfrs climbed to 302.50. Levi Walker continued the parade of quality with 611 lb strs for 340.00 and the 534 lb strs hit 363.00, Red hfrs at 723 lbs commanded 288.00 and Blk hfrs at 657 lbs were all the way up to 318.00. Ron Fawcett topped the cow market today with 1495 lb Tan cows that reached 134.00. Laurkel Limousin sold 1763 lb cows for 133.00 and Whispering Winds Ranch sold a sort of 1455 lb cows for 132.00. Mike and Geraldine Pritchard sold a 2355 lb Red bull for 160.00 and Rose Ranch had a 2190 lb Char bull bring 157.00. Thanks to the buyers and contributors for the support.
