Huge receipts again this week in Kamloops as 1400 hd of cattle hit the sale ring. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. put the fire under this incredible sale. The 1^st load 624 lb Char s/c hit 255.00, the big boys 691 lb Char s/c hit 250.00 and 56 hd of their powerful 564 lb Red & Blk s/c hit 274.00. The ring was a showcase of 670 lb Char h/c that hit 222.75, a pen of 44 Char x h/c 585 lb brought 232.00. A liner load of fancy feather neck Hereford h/c weighing 500 lb traded to 220.00. Nelson & Danielle Patry saw their 527 lb Blk Angus h/c sell to 210.00 and the 480 lb Blk h/c hit 237.00. Eric Sam’s 853 lb Red x hfrs sold to 180.00. Red Rock Farms with the Talbot Family had 753 lb Red x s/c reach 230.00 and 717 lb Angus Simm x s/c rolled to 236.00 and 613 lb s/c to 243.00. Red Rock’s replacement h/c 706 lb saw 190.50 and the 626 lb h/c at 207.00. The Gardens Creek Ranch had 565 lb Blk Angus h/c that saw 225.00. The Schweb FamilyFarm had a great group of 569 lb Blk Angus s/c race to 260.00, their pen of 533 lb Blk Angus h/c raced to 227.00. Mark Pooley had yearling strs that were 976 lb and rolled to 212.00. Butcher cows sold with  steady sales and  good volume on offer. 8 Mile Ranch had 1385 lb cows that sold to 79.00. Jim & Janet Hunter’s 1695 lb bull reached 107.00. Joe & Elaine Ward saw their 1250 lb hfr bring 150.00. The Deanfield Ranch’s 1043 lb hfrs sold to 168.00, their ring full of 1598 lb Hereford Butcher cows reached 79.75. Indian Gardens Ranch sold a liner load of cows, their 1449 lb Kill cows reached 80.25. Ed & Angela Pawloff saw their 1525 lb cows sell to 76.50, their 1128 lb hfrts sell to 107.00. Maiden Creek Ranch 1290 lb Butcher cows sold to 75.00. Mitchell Cattle Co. had solid 1704 lb Butcher cows that brought 77.50. Nicola Ranch had a top load of 1558 lb kill cows reach 79.75, the 1123 lb hfrts sold to 130.00 and the younger feeder cows sold to 97.00. Eric Sam’s 1503 lb top Butcher cows rolled to 80.50.
