1933 head of cattle were sold through the ring on Friday in Vanderhoof. The quality of cattle was top notch as we continued the Fall run in Vanderhoof. Doug Brophy’s Blk Angus s/c at 681 lbs set the pace at 238.00, the centre sort at 595 lbs hit 245.00 and 525 lbs were 273.25 and some 1600 lb slaughter cows saw 74.50. CTN Ranching sold 668 s/c for 239.50 some s/c at 523 lbs rose to 271.00 and 422 lb s/c pushed through to 290.00, 734 lb h/c were 195.00, 582 lb h/c stopped at 206.00, 530 lb h/c raced to 216.00 and 366 lb h/c made it all the way to 227.00. Golden Meadows Ranch Ltd featured Simm x s/c at 689 lbs for 242.25 and 629 lb s/c topped out at 247.75 and some hfrs that pressed down the scales at 1129 lbs fetched 170.00. Traugott Klein sold 667 lb s/c for 236.00 and some 477 lb s/c returned 274.50, his h/c at 530 lbs hit 208.00 and h/c at 478 lbs rose to 217.50 and some cows at 1260 lbs hit 75.00. KM Ranch sold Blk Angus s/c that weighed 709 lbs for 239.00 and s/c at 624 lbs were 240.00. Kochel Cattle and Timber Ltd. were a feature contributor with 570 calves offered today. A liner load of 602 lb s/c rang the bell at 245.00, 666 lb s/c sold for 242.50, 552 lb s/c marched to 266.25, 500 lb s/c hit 280.00 and some 418 lb s/c made it all the way up to 297.00, h/c’s at 569 lbs reached 212.00, h/c that weighed 513 lbs were 215.50 and the sort of h/c at 455 lbs topped out at 227.50. Ryon and Narel Kusler sold Blk Angus s/c at 587 lbs for 245.50 and some s/c at 478 lbs were 274.50, the h/c at 514 lbs marched to 205.00 and h/c that weighed 415 lbs made it to 226.00. V Bar Farms brought in some powerful Blk exotic s/c, the big boys at 715 lbs streaked to 240.00, the s/c that weighed 616 lbs rose to 246.50 and the s/c at 525 lbs saw 275.00. Larry Palmer had Char x s/c at 587 lbs for 250.00 and some 1413 lb cows that reached 77.00. Rim Rock Ranch Ltd. sold fancy Red calves, the s/c at 575 lbs for 258.50 and s/c at 510 lbs were 273.75, while 401 lb s/c marked 300.00, h/c at 397 lbs fetched 237.00 and 338 lb h/c all the way to 242.50. Gary Schock had solid Blk s/c at 693 lbs that sold for 234.75 and Blk h/c at 594 lbs hit 203.50. Sheri Stanley had Red strs at 965 lbs that brought 214.00. Wayne Terris featured Red h/c at 681 lbs for 198.00, 611 lb h/c were 200.00 and 536 lb h/c saw 204.00. Walker Cattle Co. had nearly 200 calves, the s/c at 638 lbs soared to 245.00, s/c at 557 lbs hit 264.00 and s/c that weighed 481 shot up to 286.00, the h/c at 607 lbs caught 206.00 and h/c at 519 lbs made 220.00 while some h/c at 466 lbs marked 228.50. Lyle and Vonda Wiens sold fancy Red Simm x s/c at 610 lbs for 244.75 and the s/c at 503 lbs did not stop till 279.25, the 417 lb s/c were 297.75. Doug Wylie had good Blk s/c at 649 lbs that returned 238.00, his s/c at 590 lbs were 240.00 and 607 lb h/c settled at 200.00. Jon and Brenda Ziler’s Blk s/c at 678 lbs hit 240.25 the 583 lb s/c high marked at 263.50 and h/c at 633 lbs reached 201.00 and the 577 lb h/c made it to 210.00. David Wruth topped the cow market with 1418 lb cows for 78.00 and Daron Wruth was not far behind with 1553 lb cows for 76.50. Garrett Ranches sold a 2130 lb RWF bull for 99.00 and Dave Pickett sold a Red Angus bull at 2135 lbs for 100.00.
