Incredible receipts as we sold over 900 hd in Tuesday’s sale. Calves made up 60% of the sale receipts, yearlings were 30% and the balance were Butcher cows and bulls. Yearlings opened up this sale and it was wild. Jim Knight from Vernon put the power on with 1056 lb Angus x strs at 210.00 and 1008 lb strs that sold to 215.00. The Buck Lake Ranch from Beaverdell set a trend on calves, some powerful Char x 639 lb s/c sold to 259.00 and their 505 lb char s/c hit 270.00. They then filled the ring with 525 lb h/c and watched them rise to 239.75. John & Cathy Bakker were in with some heavy calves from Sidley Mountain, their 689 lb s/c hit 246.50, the 648 lb h/c set the record at 226.50. Glen & Sharon Frankie had 854 lb Limo/Angus x s/c that hit 240.00 or 2048.60 each, 13 of their 787 lb s/c raced to a record 245.00 and 19 hd of their 732 lb h/c powered to 219.50. Kitzel Cattle Co (Randy & Jackie) set the pace with 31 hd of their Angus x s/c 634 lb that hit 260.00 and their 562 lb s/c reach 271.00. The Whistle Pig Ranch had 572 lb s/c top 266.00 and their 584 lb h/c notched 228.00. The Moulton Creek Ranch had 512 lb s/c that set in at 252.50 and 640 lb s/c at 254.00. Robert Snow & Linda Shaw from Sorento had 846 lb strs top 238.00. Anna Green from Armstrong also had top yearlings strs that weighed 884 lb and brought 233.00. Dan & Marilyn Moss had 617 lb Blk Angus s/c reach 250.00 and their big 690 lb s/c hit 245.50. Ron Baer & Maureen Brownlee of Valemount had top 540 lb Simm x s/c hit 265.00 and his 641 lb s/c reached 250.00. Ron Eden’s 753 lb yearling strs sold to 239.00. Larry & Elaine Dee’s had 472 lb Gelbvieh x s/c hit 285.00, their big 610 lb s/c topped 240.00 and their 536 lb h/c reached 231.00. Peter Deuling’s 755 lb Blk Angus yearling hfrs sold to 214.00. Dorn & Elsie Speed were in with excellent calves, their 802 lb Red Angus s/c hit 245.00 and their fancy heavy 753 lb h/c hit 229.00. The Cadillac Ranch filled the ring with 9 Blk Angus yearlings that hit 230.00. Dominic & Samantha Berger had heavy 603 lb s/c top their weight range at 260.00 and a pen of their 518 lb s/c hit 270.00. Kent Wallace of Barriere saw his top 637 lb Simm x strs reach 255.50 and his 564 lb s/c hit 265.00. Oleksander Lytvynenko’s 755 lb Blk strs sold to 236.00 and the 695 lb hfrs brought 218.50. Duut Management had a ring full of fancy Blk Angus 465 lb h/c that brought 237.00. Glen Frankie’s top kill cows weighed 1406 lb and reached 110.00.
