Lighter receipts today in Kamloops with mainly Butcher Cows and Bulls on offer. With warmer weather around the corner some will be headed to the hay fields. Wheatland D Construction had 2465 lb Bulls top 118.00, they also had 1480 lb Butcher cows top 106.00 and 1050 lb hfts at 139.00. Telegraph Trails Ranch had cow/calf pairs trade to 2050.00. The young 4 year old 1156 lb cows raced to 108.00. Then they filled the ring with 1433 lb heavy Butcher cows that matched 108.00. The Indian Gardens Ranch filled the ring with 21 Butcher cows 1365 lb fancy and good that raced to 105.00 and 1149 lb cows at 104.00. The 60 Ranch had heavy cows, 1698 lb that topped the trade at 109.00. TJ also put a top on our Bull market with 2018 lb Butcher bulls marking 134.00. Pablo Mountain Cattle also had 2070 lb Bulls at 137.75. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. saw 2073 lb Butcher bulls top 142.00. Kevin Carson from KT Ranching put the very top on our cow trade with 1742 lb cows at 110.75. Elkview Farms saw their top Holstein Butcher cows hit 103.00. Riverton Dairy’s 1345 lb Holstein Hfrs sold to 108.00. James Huwer’s 718 lb Blk Limo hfrs reached 195.00, the 475 lb s/c hit 245.00. J Mar Cattle Co. had 420 lb blk s/c hit 240.00 and their 1850 lb cows brought 102.00. Ed Salle saw his solid Butcher cows hit 107.75. Dave Harrison’s 2285 lb Blk bull reached 141.75.
