Kamloops saw a wall of quality cattle today as we saw close to 800 hd hit the showring. Today’s sale included 150 cow/calf pairs. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co put the action in our sale with 18 hd of 1050 lb BBF hfrts that raced to 142.75 and 1815 lb Butcher bulls brought 125.00. Tom & Linda Hancock from Clinton set a pace with 19 hfrs in the group weighing 644 lbs that raced to 195.00. The Diamond T Ranch had 700 lb s/c that hit 221.00 and 600 lb s/c sell to 227.00. The Way Home Ranch brought 50 powerful hfrs and strs to town. Their 800 lb hfrs all Angus x and fancy hit 173.00. 19 hd of their 692 lb hfrs fancy and powerful hit 183.50 and their top Butcher cows sold to 114.50. Ingram Creek Farm had 875 lb Blk strs sell to 182.00, their 1500 lb top kill cows sold to 109.00. John Koerson had 700 lb strs sell to 203.00. Scott & Sherry McLeod of S&S Farms had 628 lb strs sell to 210.00, their 755 lb Simm x strs traded to 204.00 and their 523 lb Red x strs hit 241.00. The 511 lb Red x hfrs brought 192.00.  The KT Ranch saw their 1746 lb Butcher cows hit 116.00. Crystal Lake Ranch filled the ring with 21 hd of 861 lb Red Simm x strs, they topped their weigh range at 181.00. Doug Shunter put a top on the Bull trade with a 2205 lb Bulls at 129.00. Mitchell Cattle Co had 2480 lb Butcher Bulls to 129.00. Bill Couldwell had 2110 lb Bulls mark 130.00. Eric & Sharon Bergstrand of the Sun Hill Ranch sold 60 hd of Angus x cow/calf pairs with the younger end selling to 1900.00 per pair. Joe & Terry Baudin showcased a quality group of RBF cow/calf pairs that topped out at 1900.00 per pair. Sierra Simmentals with Hugh & Shelly Graffunder saw their top Red Simm cow/calf pairs hit 2185.00. Paul & Audrey LaFave of Pritchard hit 2050.00 a pair with their beautiful Red Angus cow/calf pairs. Barb Harrison had top quality Angus cow/calf pairs that traded to 2000.00 per pair. It was one fantastic sale here in Kamloops. Our next cattle sale is May 10th.
