Kamloops was the place of action Tuesday as again calves were the most plentiful as we saw 500 hd roll through the sale ring. Duut Management set one powerful trend to our sale, their 382 lb Blk Angus s/c hit 257.50, the fancy pen of 462 lb s/c  raced to 222.00 and the big s/c 558 lb saw 216.00. Ted Marchand from Vernon tested the trades with top Char calves, his 674 lb s/c hit 213.00, the 507 lb s/c saw 220.00 and his 588 lb s/c marked 218.00. The Crystal Lake Ranch from Malakwa had Simm x 717 lb strs power to 204.50, the big 812 lb strs saw 200.00. John & Judy Greenall from Heffley Creek set the record with 619 lb fancy Hereford s/c marking 205.50, their 560 lb h/c topped 178.50. Keith & Naomi Boulters had 423 lb tan h/c sell to 205.00. Valleyview Ranch saw their 439 lb Blk h/c hit 192.00. Dorn & Elsie Speed had powerful 702 lb Simm x s/c hit 208.00, their 435 lb Red h/c brought 190.00. Alex Winkler of Tappen saw his 773 lb Angus hfrs reach 177.00 and the fancy 700 lb hfrs top 180.00. Ed Merton’s 718 lb Exotic hfrs sold to 181.50. Christy Baird had 980 lb Blk strs sell to 175.00. Oleksandr Lytvynenko had 611 lb Blk s/c reach 212.00 and his 638 lb Angus h/c raced to 177.75. Don & Dianna Heighes had 680 lb Simm x s/c that brought 196.00. Ken Pickering’s 640 lb s/c reached 201.00. Konrad Glowczynski’s 850 lb strs sold to 190.00. Basil Deverell had 900 lb Red strs sell to 185.50. Chutter Ranch had solid 1035 lb Red hfrs sell to 157.00. Ted Marchand saw his 1570 lb Butcher cows set in at 76.00. Valleyview Ranch had the heaviest Butcher cows of the day weighing 1932 lb trading to 74.50. Mary Curnow had 1608 lb Butcher cows trade to 79.50 and 1470 lb sell to 80.25. The Crystal Lake Ranch had 2110 lb Butcher bulls top 101.00. Dean Maxwell saw his 1490 lb cows top 83.50. Next week sale in Kamloops the 28th will start at 9 am instead of 10 am. We are expecting a fairly large sale next week as there is already 500 hd listed.
