Kamloops Sale - Tuesday, Aug 10, 2021



Well Kamloops was a wall of quality cattle Tuesday as 900 head of cattle hit the sale ring. Ken & Linda Allison started this fast paced sale as their 710 lb Red Angus x hfrs hit 177.00. Bill Bostock of Ned’s Creek Ranch had 845 lb Red baldy strs sell to 191.50, the 785 lb strs reached 195.00. Boyd Creek Ranch was in from Dunster with their 834 lb Angus x strs that sold to 195.00, their draft of 750 lb strs topped 200.00. Rob & Arlene Smith had a top group of 950 lb Angus strs reach 188.00. Andy & Simone Hoglund from Vernon had 19 Blk Angus strs 772 lb powerful and good trade to 197.00. The calf market was really tested this week with 300 top calves and what a sale. The Sunshine Ranch had a ring full of 380 lb Angus x s/c that raced to 260.00, their 253 lb s/c hit 320.00, the 371 lb h/c reached 227.50. Liebreich Farms saw their 351 Angus h/c race to 215.00 and the 386 lb s/c rolled to 265.00. Ruth Norris had 469 lb s/c all Blk traded to 259.00. Dave Stutt had 908 lb Angus strs top 181.00. Warren Palmer also with a top pen of hfrs 832 lb raced to 174.50. The Frog Hollow Ranch saw his excellent quality 701 lb Blk Angus hfrs race to 178.75. Joel Borstenia from Cache Creek saw his 700 Blk Angus hfrs reach 176.00. Don Hanna had big solid Butcher cows top 82.00. D&S Livestock’s 1463 lb kill cows sold to 80.00, their solid exotic younger Butcher cow weighed 1595 lb hit 89.00. The Ward Creek Ranch topped our Bull trade with 1965 lb Bulls that brought 111.00 and 1379 lb cows that saw 84.50. Ken & Linda Allison also had 1535 lb Butcher cows sell to 84.00. Johan & Helma Tuijtel’s 482 lb s/c sold to 237.50. Kyle Price had 463 lb h/c sell to 195.00 and the 1393 lb Simm x Butcher cows reach 79.00. Tim Hall’s 913 lb strs hit 187.25. Deanfield Ranch showcased a ring full of 880 lb Hereford strs at 188.00, the 726 lb strs traded to 192.75. Terry Fletcher of Grindrod had a powerful group of 823 lb Char x hfrs sell to 177.00, the 705 lb hfrs topped 187.00. Kingsford Cattle Co showcased a perfect set of calves , their 423 lb Angus s/c reached 250.00, the 490 lb s/c traded to 225.00 and their 1150 lb cows brought 81.00. Well it was quite a day with quality, absolutely first class, and a ring full of buyers. Next scheduled sale August 17th.
